Ranakeliya Lodge - Yala

Truly spectacular in every sense. 1. The staff were so lovely. Always on hand to help with a big smile. So incredibly warm. 2. The food was exceptional. The best we had in Sri Lanka, in a lovely environment out on the grass in front of the fire pit. 3. The room was incredible. Big glass exterior, huge comfortable bed, very tasteful design, plunge pool and decking with a view. We did a morning safari and were lucky enough to see leopards, sloth bears, elephants! Overall our stay in Ranakeliya was probably the highlight of our Sri Lanka trip. Perfect!

My favourite place I have stayed in Sri Lanka, the perfect balance of comfortability luxury and nature. We were greater with drinks and cool towels which set the tone for our amazing stay, the staff were absolutely incredible, so kind and catered for our every need, they could not have done any more for us they were genuinely so amazing. Not only tho the food was some of the best we have had in Sri Lanka, the soul was probably the nicest soup I have ever eaten and the creme brulee was incredible as well

Had the most incredibly stay here! Such nice staff, great food and nice location for visiting yala park.

I loved the glamping-style stay (the room and bathroom were great).

I was quite disappointed by a couple of things. First, I was unable to rest because it was so noisy. I may have been unlucky (it was a bank holiday), but very loud music playing in a neighboring property and people were playing music quite loudly on their phones close-by. I also thought the staff's attitude was surprising for this kind of place: they were not very helpful or forthcoming.
