Villa Katoni is absolutely stunning! Whilst the pictures are very accurate, when you arrive it absolutely exceeded our expectations somehow! The decor inside is very thoughtfully curated and feels modern yet authentic. Outside is perfection - all the sun loungers felt clean and the onsite team kept the garden, pool and house spotless throughout our stay. Previous mentions of faulty air conditioners have been fixed, we found the house to feel lovely and cool, despite the very humid time of year we visited. The in-villa team were all so friendly and generous during our stay. The BBQ we requested was delicious, as were the lunches we ordered at the villa. The table was always laid beautifully - it's these small touches which made our family holiday feel even more special. Dayat, who was our contact from the villa to help with all logistics on the island was incredibly responsive and friendly, ensuring we had a very smooth stay and transport around the island when needed, as well as helping to organise tours/snorkeling etc. There are a few local restaurants within a 2-5 minute walk which were all very delicious, and easy taxi's to restaurants elsewhere on the island. Whilst the villa is slightly more remote, away from Jungetbatu with all the main restaurants etc, all the Taxi's easily fit our group of 9 in and only took 10 minutes to get to. It was a paradise to escape back to! Absolutely 100% recommend booking a holiday at Villa Katoni - we wish we could have stayed longer and hope to return!
Not a negative - just a recommendation - The bedroom doors don't perfectly close, so I would recommend taking plenty of mosquito spray/coils for overnight, but all beds had mosquito nets, so this wasn't too much of an issue - as to be expected in a humid climate!

The villa is exceptional. Very spacious and comfortable. Lots of outdoor areas for relaxing, eating, sunbathing etc The swimming pool is gorgeous. Big enough to swim lengths but shallow enough to play games and for babies / children to enjoy. The location is incredible with a magnificent view directly over the beach to the sea and islands. The staff are wonderful. Very discreet whilst looking after our needs brilliantly. The local area has nice restaurants a few shops massage salons etc so we enjoyed local walks. When we wanted to go further afield the golf buggy was at our disposal… which was fun and practical. We absolutely loved our stay at Katoni!
Nothing. We liked everything.

Nice spacious villa, big pool, amazing sunset. Good communication as well from the owner and host. Excellent staff. Nice food too! Amazing nature all around.
The villa is a bit dated, WiFi is not working very well (tip to owner: get a Starlink set up!). The road there is pretty bad. It's quite remote too, not much to visit in walking distance. Unfortunately the beach in front is not suitable for swimming.

Overall, our stay was pleasant and it was nice to share breakfast with our family at the table outside. We were a party of nine and couldn't find many options on Nusa Lembongan that could accommodate us all together. I enjoyed the views of the seaweed farms and Nusa Ceningan were also lovely. It was a pleasure to meet Kadek from the neighboring beach huts. We had dinner at Arna Ocean lounge on Nusa Ceningan, and this was a highlight of our stay.
The property requires maintenance. Villa management should address some things like leaky toilets, loose handrailing and holes in sheets. We did not feel the property is good value compared with other locations we stayed in Bali, Flores and Lembongan. The ninth bed, a 'sofa bed' is not a fold out bed- just a small sofa mattress fitted with a sheet and would be ok for a young child. My son is tall and it was an uncomfortable week for him. I had checked in with the property before our stay and was assured it would be suitable for his size. And it doesn't matter what room you put it in, it is still too small. Most of all, having left disappointed and feeling a little 'ripped off' we sent the property a large list of suggestions that could be made to improve the standard of the property and experience. There is no way management could have resolved all the issues we had during our stay and still ensured everyone's comfort. I ended up posting a review because I don't want other people to feel this way after a vacation. I felt 6/10 was an honest reflection of the property and experience. We stayed on a more remote island in Flores at a backpacker hostel after Katoni, and it was far cleaner, better, cheaper. Now, I think it feels like a 3/10 but that would be unfair to the local staff. But the clincher was a request from management to provide a good review. And then, like every other person that has dared to leave a mediocre one, you are subject to abuse, before they try to embarrass you online instead of trying to resolve the issues at hand, or put some of $$ paid back into the property. Looking back, I should have seen through the ten-star reviews. I can't see how they are the real deal. Go back and read even the ten star reviews have comments about how tired it is. This location on Nusa Lembongan is close enough to walk to some restaurants, however it may not be suitable to people with limited mobility.
