Lovely and large property! Views of the estuary and good parking. Everything you needed with in the property

Ok broken outdoor chairs unable to sit out on good days .. downstairs had very uncomfortable setee and decor downstairs was old

We found the property a good size for 6 Adults and 3 children. There was a lovely view across the estuary. There was ample parking space at the front. Having the 4 bathrooms meant we had no delays getting ready to go out. The bathrooms were very clean.

The property did not feel clean throughout. There were lots of cobwebs. The furniture in the living room was faded and worn. The balcony had not been swept. The outdoor furniture had not been set up for us. We could understand soft outdoor cushions being in store but not the furniture itself. The cushions we could find did not fit the chairs so these were uncomfortable. Several chairs were broken so we didn’t have sufficient for all of us. The bench collapsed when two of us sat on it. Although the weather was gorgeous this meant we couldn’t eat outside. The wine glasses were mismatched and there were no pint glasses at all. Apart from an amount of dishwasher tablets and a couple of tea towels no other cleaning supplies for the kitchen were provided. Therefore we had to go out on arrival and buy cleaning products so we could cook and wipe surfaces. The dishwasher hadn’t been emptied despite a check out time of 10am and check in of 4pm. We even had a message saying an earlier check in was not offered to ensure the property could be cleaned to a high standard! It is also worth mentioning that nowhere did the property description explain that the family bedroom (a double bed with a single bed) was in a separate part of the house to the bedroom with bunk beds. This wasn’t a problem for our party but might be for some.
