Malyabhara Hotel Yogyakarta Malioboro

The hotel is centrally located, just next to the famous Malioboro Road, one of the most lively areas in Yogyakarta. It is also conveniently located next to a shopping mall, so finding food and doing some shopping is very easy. The train station is only about a 5-minute drive away, which is very convenient if you are planning a quick day trip to Solo by train. Breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of choices ranging from traditional Indonesian dishes to English/Western breakfast options. Overall, the location and breakfast were definitely the highlights of our stay.

The Malioboro area can get extremely crowded, particularly during weekends. At night, vehicle access to the hotel can also be difficult because some of the surrounding roads may be closed to traffic. Despite these minor inconveniences, the hotel is a very convenient choice if you want to stay right in the heart of Malioboro and enjoy easy access to shopping, food and Yogyakarta’s lively atmosphere.

The location is superb. It is very near the train station. Malioboro street and the mall is very accessible. Touring companies have easy access to the hotel. Hotel staff are very accommodating as well.

The breakfast selection was good, but some of the hot dishes were served cold because they weren’t kept in warming stations or chafing dishes. Adding heated containers for the main hot items would make a big difference.

Location

Air condition should be check reguraly my room smeel sewage. I was moved to the 2nd floor and the room is fine but the access in the alley since it’s on renovation smell strong paint and dust everywhere in the carpet. It makes allergy. I suggest that the hotel should consider not to rent rooms in 2nd floor until the renovation is finished.
