Good Morning+ Goteborg City

The staff is exceptional and very helpful, especially a lady with the name Marie Louise which helped me with rescheduling my stay because i ordered the wrong date by mistake. Thankfully Marie Fixed me a room to the ocean view and everything was perfect. Breakfast was very impressive, good bread and a lot to choose from

Room is sufficient, breakfast good, but the hotel concept is excellence. Love it

Not a great location to travel with public transport. Last bus is at 8pm from central station. Room is small.

I chose this hotel as a refreshment from my regular one in Göteborg and mainly because it was a cool thing to sleep on a boat (or a ship?). Sadly, even though the price was comperable, the service was not. ✅️ Great view I booked the room with the view on the waters of the river and it was great waking up to the laughter of seagulls. The restaurant also has the windows facing the water so it is extra pleasant to start the day. ✅️ Close The location is in close vicinity to the Central Station, even while the city is being renovated (it's my third year coming here and they are still digging in the same placethey did in 2024 so I guess it will be actual in 2029 as well). Good for people not knowing the city or afraid to walk alone after dark, even though I am a solo femal traveller quite often and no city in Sweden has made me feel afraid after dark. ✅️ Helpful staff Especially the people working in the restaurant and during rhe breakfast service. Every morning, they were energetic, joyful and helpful. ✅️Breakfast included This is unsure - I booked via Agoda and breakfast was included but the posters around the hotel say it is only included for members of some club of theirs. Still, coffee and tea are available almost all the time (Sunday after 21:00 they were not) ❌️ Doubtful security Your keycard unlocks the door but the elevator can go anywhere you want without the need to unlock the floor with your card; this is due to the fact that any floor is also available by stairs directly from the reception and literally anyone could follow you. I was grateful I was not travelling alone. For a plus, the sun deck that was available from both inside and outside only has the door handle inside, so not everything was poor-thought. ❌️ Questionable cleaning I am 100% for saving the laundry when unnecessary - like changing the towels every day is simply wasteful. Sadly, the windows were dirty inside the frame and on the window pane (ours was pooped on by some bird too), there were some stains under the materace (red stains, nothing haunted us though), the corners in the shower were not fresh either. Our room only had a small trash bin in the toilet and nothing else around so we had no place to throw for example our two takeaway poke bowl containers. I took it up with the staff but they confirmed that it was nohing overlooked, just one bin per room. ❌️ Scarcely anything In a room with two single beds, only one had a socket in the wall. There was no hairdryer either, the ironing is supposed to be done on a corridor, there was just one tiny shelf in the bathroom with not enough room for both me and my mom to have our cosmetic bags there, even though they were small. We were two people and only got two large towels - my wet hair was crying, or maybe the back under my long wet hair was crying more. The shelf had some box for hygenic bags installed but it was dusty and empty. I am aware that many issues may be typical to hotels on boats, where space is limited or renovations not really possible - still, smaller spaces seem to require less time to clean, and especially since the hotel has three floors with maybe a total of 100 rooms that are not each cleaned every day, a regular size trash bin would not cause great delays, I assume. Many issues like the lack of space for 4 towels or an extra shelf seem more of a design choice than a real space-saving issue, there is also nothing preventing a hair dryer from hiding on one of the shelves in the wardrobe or above the desk. All in all, I booked this hotel because ot soujded like a fun idea and yes, I slept well and there was no rain falling on my head, neither was I freezing. The view was great and would be even better without the obstruction of dirt on the window pane. Cool as some change from the regular hotels but, sadly, I am quite disaplointed with the quality, knowing there is way higher standard for a similar price just two streets away.
