    The staff were exceptional here, so friendly and happy to help with any queries! The room was compact but clean, and had a separate shower in the bathroom which I enjoyed. A little outside of the main attractions, however, still walkable. Would stay here again. :)

    We booked a week at Magazine Hotel, and the location was very convenient, making it easy to access restaurants and explore different parts of George Town. Unfortunately, the room felt dusty and not particularly well maintained upon arrival, which was disappointing given the price point. We also encountered several large cockroaches in the room. I understand this may be partly due to the shower windows being left open for ventilation, but it was still unpleasant and something the property could potentially address. Another downside was the internet connection, which became quite slow at certain times of the day. Since our room was at the end of the hallway, this may have contributed to the issue, and installing an additional Wi-Fi extender could potentially improve the connection. I also felt that some of the front desk staff could have been more welcoming and friendly. Having worked in hospitality for many years, I pay particular attention to guest service, and Logan was the one person who really stood out. He was extremely helpful with recommendations and was always willing to engage in a friendly conversation, which made a positive impression. Overall, the property has a great location and plenty of potential, but there is definitely room for improvement when it comes to cleanliness, maintenance, Wi-Fi reliability, and guest service.
