I recently stayed at Sejati Hotel for two days, paying around RM 140, and while there were a few positive aspects, critical issues with comfort and convenience made it a frustrating experience.
The Positives:
Friendly Staff: The receptionists, both the male and female staff on duty across different days were polite, welcoming, and helpful.
Cleanliness: Both the room and the bathroom were well-cleaned and maintained upon arrival.
Amenities: The water heater functioned very well, and the air conditioning worked reasonably well to keep the room cool.
The Negatives:
Uncomfortable Bed: This was by far the worst part of the stay. The mattress is old and worn out, the springs can distinctly be felt poking through, leading to a stiff neck and body aches every morning.
Malfunctioning Key Cards: The room key card continuously malfunctioned throughout my stay, requiring multiple trips down to the front desk to get it re-validated.
Final Verdict:
I understand that this is a budget hotel, and I wasn't expecting luxury. However, a proper, pain-free bed to sleep on and a working room key card are basic necessities that any accommodation must provide. Unfortunately, until these fundamental issues are fixed, it's hard to recommend staying here.
