Le chauffeur de taxi

I will never forget the lady managing the hotel. I was between previous hotel check-out and a night flight so needed a cheap place to rest and wait. As I was not feeling well due to activities of the day before, I asked the lady manager to buy some food for me. Due to the hotel's location I got no idea to buy anything anywhere at all. But she did it wonderfully for me. She did ask me for a fee: 10 Gambian Dalasi which is about US 15 cents. It was a bit heartbreaking really. I made sure I honored her help beyond 15 cents. She said I'm a good man and she would like me to visit the Gambia again, to which I'd so much like to say yes. The hotel is highly value for money, if not for location reasons.

The location of the hotel was also heartbreaking. The owner did inform me via WhatsApp where it is and their phone numbers but it's still very difficult to find it. My frustrated taxi drivers asked me to pay almost double the trip cost due to him having to call and ask around which took time.

La proximidad al aeropuerto aunque se llega por un camino de tierra. La amabilidad de la mujer que lo lleva la habitación es amplia.

Solo te dan una sabana y el cubre. El almohadón es muy gordo y me levante fatal del cuello. El baño tenía fuga y te mojadas los pies descalzos.
