Host & Stay - Oxford House

It was a lovely apartment, high spec kitchen and lovely and light...the added terrace was great as we had fabulous weather. The location is extremely central which is really handy but can be a little noisy on Friday night. There is a secure car park right opposite which was extremely handy.

The only thing I would say is the apartment needs a little TLC is places, some areas need a touch up with paint...but it was a lovely apartment

We loved the location, ice machine on the fridge, rain showers in the bathrooms and the terrace. Downstairs living room windows are amazing. The shops, green spaces all on the door step.

As it is an old building the ventilation downstairs was not enough especially we had a heat wave the days we were there.

The apartment is absolutely lovely and has most things you would need for your stay. Beautiful roof terrace which we made use of with the nice weather, however there were a few things which weren't so good, which I've mentioned below. The location is also perfect for getting around Harrogate, being literally a few minutes walk from the shops, bars and restaurants.

Given we stayed during the middle of a heatwave (34 degrees when we arrived), there was no air conditioning or simple electric fans available. With it being so hot, we couldn't make much use of the living room as it was too hot to sit in. Given how luxurious the apartment is, it was a shame to see watered down washing up liquid and hand-wash. Both squirted out water when using them. The property was advertised as having a parking garage which to us meant this was a private parking space. However, we were given instructions for the nearby multistory car park which for us, at the time of our stay was £36 for 48hrs.

The location was excellent and parking is literally opposite so that's very easy! The accommodation itself is beautiful - this was the second year we came back. The balcony area was especially gorgeous!

We couldn't get the air con to work despite numerous attempts. Some of the light switches didn't seem to work which was odd (are they controlled externally?) It was disappointing that the hand wash and washing up liquid was watered down! Especially given the price we paid. We also had to buy our own toilet roll as the stocks had not been replenished from whomever was in there before us.
