Host & Stay - Oxford House

The apartment is absolutely lovely and has most things you would need for your stay. Beautiful roof terrace which we made use of with the nice weather, however there were a few things which weren't so good, which I've mentioned below. The location is also perfect for getting around Harrogate, being literally a few minutes walk from the shops, bars and restaurants.

Given we stayed during the middle of a heatwave (34 degrees when we arrived), there was no air conditioning or simple electric fans available. With it being so hot, we couldn't make much use of the living room as it was too hot to sit in. Given how luxurious the apartment is, it was a shame to see watered down washing up liquid and hand-wash. Both squirted out water when using them. The property was advertised as having a parking garage which to us meant this was a private parking space. However, we were given instructions for the nearby multistory car park which for us, at the time of our stay was £36 for 48hrs.

Amazing location in the centre of town and super facilities. The rooftop terrace was a great bonus on a sunny weekend 😎

Messaged the host the day before arrival to enquire if a bbq was available at the property . They replied to confirm there was an electric grill bbq on the outdoor terrace but on arrival there wasn’t one . Messaged again and got quite a rude reply saying there isn’t one listed on the property details

The company are possibly the worst I’ve ever stayed with. Firstly they charged a damage fee which is not stated the price of anywhere on booking.com. It’s now been 5 weeks since our stay and I am still yet to receive our parking cost reimbursement with the team putting it off every time I email… will we ever get the money back? I doubt it! Free parking is not true. The outdoor roof top flooring needs some work too as some parts are broken. All of this is a shame because the place itself is great.
