This place is paradise!

The hosts John and Corrine were the best. They did everything possible to make our stay perfect. We had homemade bread and jam made by Corrine. Fresh plums, tomatoes, and eggs were brought to us by John. The location and views were outstanding. And Bella the dog was fantastic.

Fantastic accommodation, super-clean and so much thought put into making our stay so amazing.

We couldn't recommend this place highly enough and the owners have set a gold standard with this accommodation. My boys and I didn't want to leave and this was by far the best place we stayed on our entire trip.

Next level hospitality, definitely recommend!

Lovely setting, peaceful, close to natural bush and amazing sea views. Hosts were very friendly, thoughtful and kind. Freshly baked bread, homemade jam, collection of teas and coffees, basic groceries all made us feel welcome. Even the dog Bella was super friendly and well behaved :-)

Tranquil stay in a lovely home and setting

Tranquil setting in regional park where outdoor activities abound. Corinne has anticipated every detail a traveler could want to make their stay most relaxing, plus oven warm fresh baked bread, butter and home made plum jam upon arrival. Corinne’s pictures accurately feature the home so I’ve added a few from our sight seeing in the area.

Cornwallis Palms is a gem!!!!

Corrine and John were so lovely and welcoming to us. The apartment is stylish, spotless and comfortable. The view from the lounge of lawn leading to the sea and the warf beyond is entrancing. We would leave the bifold doors to the terrace and lawn open and wander in and out in the sunshine. 2 chickens and Bella, the dog, joined us on occasion on the lawn. Such happy memories. The kitchen had everything you think of - including freshly baked bread, homemade jam from the plum trees in the garden, butter, milk etc. Corrine even gave me a pot of jam on our departure. We had booked for 3 nights, but on arrival knew we would prefer to forsake our last night in Aukland for a fourth in this beautiful.place: which Corrine moved things around to make possible. We swam in the sea, hiked in pristine bush, watched sunsets up a nearby hill, swam in the mountain pool beneath the Karamatura Falls on our last full day in New Zealand. A massive highlight of our trip. Corrine and John felt like friends more than hosts. Such generous, warm people. The road to the house is bendy, and a good distance from a supermarket - 20 minutes I think. This, for us, added to the enjoyment of our stay. We arrived with most of the provisions we needed - and only made one trip to the shops. The area is stunning. Never a dull moment with so many nature walks and swimming options, yet peaceful and relaxing. We stayed here at the end of our fabulous holiday touring around New Zealand. It was the nicest place in which we stayed, and everywhere we stayed was lovely! Just the best end to our trip. I would recommend Cornwallis Palms without hesitation. Thank you John and Corrine.

The hosts were lovely and obviously put a lot of effort into making it special for the guests e.g. lovely smelling pillows, fresh home baked bread on arrival, well appointed and thought out set up, beautiful choccies for the guests and a genuine happy welcoming chat once we had settled in. Well done guys.

We loved everything about this property, stayed for 4 nights. Very clean and comfortable. We loved our daily visits from the chickens and wee doggo. Exceptional hoasts who allowed us to use their electric car charger, which was a relief as the nearest charging station was a few km away.

Perfect paradise

I loved that I arrived to a welcoming scene. The door was ajar, there was the smell of fresh baked bread in the air. Add to that fresh eggs from on the property friendly chickens and baked biscuits. The kitchen is well equipped the beds comfortable the bathroom roomy with a good shower. A bonus is the washing machine. The view is stunning looking out to sea with a beautiful garden in the foreground. Add to this a friendly hostess and a well controlled friendly dog that is happy to be your friend if you want but is in no way a bother.

I didn't like that I had to leave this Peaceful and beautiful location.
