Lovely quirky building. Spotless kitchen and bathroom. Everything that we needed was available in the kitchen. Crisp bed linen, great pillows and matress. Fluffy bath sheets. The wood fired hot tub was easy to get to grips with and just what we needed. Being able to have our little dog stay with us was a big bonus.
The road surface outside seemed to amplify noise although the traffic did ease off at night and didn't interfere with a good night's sleep. The chimney needs a good sweep and we had to abandon any ideas of a romantic nighttime fire. The cattle grid in the grounds was annoying at times. We would have liked to been able to explore some of the estate grounds, but we did understand why not.

Efficient service. Lovely touches that we're unexpected. Ie cake waiting to be enjoyed and a bottle of wine too. Thank you for making us feel valued. Blackout curtains ensuring quality sleep. Private garden with very comfortable garden furniture.
The hot tub wasn't working. Being bellowed at by estate worker. Saying I was too close to the other gatehouse where someone lives. The back door lock doesn't lock. The handle to the bathroom door needs repair it was extremely loose.
