This was a wonderful place to stay—just the right size for what we needed. The location is peaceful and quiet, and the home had everything we could ask for while being out of town. The host was very responsive and communicative, always quick to answer any questions. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay and will definitely make this our first choice if we’re in the area again.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything we needed was already there, we were so excited to have fresh chicken eggs as a gift from the host and the beautiful happy chickens that we got to meet. I loved the garden and the swings were a hit for my grandchildren. They didn’t want to leave. We all really enjoyed our stay and the bed was so compfy, we were so grateful we didn’t have to run the ac because the windows when left open gave a fantastic cross breeze through the house. All in all we loved our stay. We would choose this home again.

Therese was a delightful hostess. While you share the home with her, she stays out of the home or in her bedroom when guests are present. Easy access to CWU, especially at graduation/move out or move in times. Quiet neighborhood. Comfortable bed. Lovely to have coffee and breakfast bread waiting in the morning.

Thank you Phil for opening up your home to use while our house in Murrieta was under repair. What a nice area of Escondido with excellent views of the valley below. Great soaking tub and all the conveniences were appreciated. Such a nice touch to offer fresh eggs, s’mores making supplies and snacks. Great, relaxing stay just moments from my work.

I really enjoyed my time here. The bed was comfortable, the amenities were great, and I was easily able to relax. Great set up with the TV and bar. The electric stove, air fryer, fridge, and microwave have you all the amenities of home. I have stayed in other VRBO's where these aspects are missing. The shower is spacious, deep, and has great water pressure. There is a bidet too which is appreciated. The chickens were awesome, and the complimentary half dozen eggs were a nice treat. Phil was a very courteous host. There if you needed him, and gave you your space if you didn't. I will be coming back next year!

This was the perfect place for me and my dog to stay while my house was being renovated. The bed is very comfortable, the bathtub is amazing, the kitchen is well-appointed. I heard nothing but the birds and an occasional car passing by as I sat under the massive oak tree and drank my morning coffee and worked. Great communication with the owner.

So lovely. So homey. Relaxing. Comfortable. We were visiting local family, in a high stress situation, and it was so nice to go “home” at the end of the day and feel settled. My two dogs were welcomed with dog treats. We were welcomed with snacks, s’more’s fixing, and fresh eggs -one blue- from on-site chickens. We’ll be back!

Management thought of everything. Location was ultra quiet, beautiful rural setting, property extremely well kept. Treats and coffee in the room, and it was actually multiple rooms, with closable door in between for privacy. Updated decor in very good taste. Clean and neat accommodations. Comfy pillows. Great directions, easy check in and check out. Will seek them out first for availability for future trips and have told our family about them already!

The owner was incredibly communicative and accommodating for my fiancé and I plus our dog. The property is beautiful and has a great view of the town. Everything was clean and the amenities were well taken care of. They even offered us fresh eggs from their coop which was a thoughtful touch. We came to celebrate my Nephew’s wedding in Escondido and found this location near the wedding Venue. The best selling point that it was pet friendly. It was perfect to get to the rehearsal and wedding in minutes and know our fur baby was safe. It was a perfect getaway retreat with no traffic!! Would have loved to have used the fire pit but we were busy with the wedding. Definitely recommend this location for quick get away from the crazy city!!

We had a wonderful few days here catching up on family news. The only downsize was having the door open directly into the bedroom because of the babies nap times. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a place close to the Safari Park. Loved the fresh eggs!!

As soon as my husband and I arrived here I was transported to memories of vacations in Europe. This is the perfect little apartment to get away from it all, with beautiful views and surroundings - you really could be anywhere. Phil was very communicative and even made sure we could check in early which was very appreciated. Our request for fresh towels was met with total understanding and swift action. The entire stay was comfortable, relaxing and honestly one of our best rental choices. We were made to feel very welcome for the get go with a lovely personalized message and a variety of snacks and hot drinks laid out, on arrival. Seeing the chickens every morning was a personal highlight - they are very chatty. We didn’t get to make the most of the amenities like the patio and bbq etc but we will be back for sure! Thank you!

Very welcoming feeling from the host before walking into a room with a view. The feeling of stepping back in time was refreshing and renewing. Falling into that bed every night, was 30 days of much needed rest. I slept so good, it must’ve been the peace and quiet. I can’t say enough about that bed and I’m already looking forward to it the next time I come. The house is a perfect set up, it’s away from the maddening crowd, beautiful and safe. I tried more new restaurants in the area and it’s close to freeway’s. A quiet peaceful leisurely walk awaits you and it’s around this precious neighborhood where I shed Five lbs. over my visit. Communication with the owner, Phil, was very clear, concise and professional. The check in was automatic and easy. The place was charming, well appointed and comfortable. I found nothing was left wanting. Every need was filled. The area was amenable to long relaxing walks with the dogs or curling up with a good book. You cant beat the location… easy on and off Fwy access. Just perfect for my needs and I highly recommend booking a stay for anyone looking for warmth, comfort, quiet and to be surrounded by nature while close to city attractions.
