I stayed in room 122, which is at the back of the property. The walls weren’t soundproof, as I could hear the muffled sounds of the TV next door and chatter. The bed cover had stains on it as did the mattress as seen in the pictures below. The lock on the bathroom door didn’t work, and they didn’t have bottles for shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the shower, just a little packet of shampoo and a tiny bar of soap. When I tried switching from the shower faucet to the shower head, there was still water coming out of the faucet which was very loud. The TV only had cable, no streaming apps like on a smart TV. I tried sleeping on the couch because of how gross the bed was, but that was too uncomfortable so I reluctantly slept on the bed on the side that seemed “cleaner”. It’s not worth the $15-$20 in savings to stay at a place like this compared to a slightly nicer hotel.

I had a great stay at Motel Mediteran in Escondido. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, making it easy to relax after a long day. The staff was friendly and accommodating, always willing to help with anything I needed. The location is convenient, with easy access to nearby restaurants, shopping, and the freeway, yet the motel itself was quiet and peaceful. For the price, the value was excellent and exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Motel Mediteran to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and affordable place to stay in Escondido.

Room was "sparse" as far as decor and places to put your things, but it was clean. Lighting was "stark" and bright. Room was a little cold but we didn't run the heater because it was very loud. Could have used a thicker blanket or extra one (not provided) and the towels were very thin as well.

Nice floors, clean and simple. TV was good, bed was comfortable and clean. Only thing is the hairdryer didn't work which was a shame considering it was cold and raining and we had stuff we wanted to warm up. Also put a shower cap in the bathrooms, they are inexpensive and useful. Then maybe fix up the lobby so that there could be hot coffee or tea for guests, because the lobby did not quite match up with the pictures of the booking, the rooms did though and were nice but the lobby can be misleading, leading one to think that this place is not that nice when it is.

our stay was good. the sheets that were on the bed when we arrived were dirty with stains and hairs, unfortunately, but the person at the front quickly changed them at our request. another thing was that the water shut off after about 10 minutes in the shower, as well as the sink water. there was some construction next door, but it wasn’t too loud. all in all, an okay stay and affordable :)

Don't bother wasting your money at this Motel. I requested a Queen-sized bed was given two full-sized beds instead. When requesting this to be corrected, the front desk straight-up lied in my face, saying there were none available and that a double (full) bed is the same size as a Queen. The double beds that were given to me had stains all over them too. When calling Hotels.com to speak with them, they tried to get me the correct Queen-sized bedding. The front desk then gave me the room I originally requested. Come to find out they use a double (full) sized bed for their Queen-sized rooms (shady). Curtain covers were broken. And bedding also had STAINS! Requested a refund and was denied by the owners. Don't waste your hard-earned cash here.
