About this bed and breakfast

Welcome to the Truffula Tree Inn. Enjoy the peace and quiet in this private and spacious 1 bedroom cabin with heated flooring and queen size bed situated on 74 acres of forest.
We have a sofa bed in the front room with an electric fireplace to cozy up next to.
Go up the small flight of stairs to the TV room with a futon couch that can turn into another bed.
Equipped kitchen to make your own meals.

We are located 10 mins north of Courtenay and 25 mins south of Campbell River.
The base of Mt. Washington is 10 mins away where you have the option to take a bus or drive the rest of the way up the mountain.
We are 25 mins from Cumberland's mountain bike trails.
Golf Courses and Beaches are easily accessible with a 15 min drive.
The Tsolum Spirit Park and One Spot Trail along with the Tsolum River is a 5-10 minute walk with many swimming holes and walking trails.

Watch the sunset out the kitchen and living room windows or sit out on the patio and enjoy the view. You may see deer, eagles, woodpeckers, and a wide variety of birds. You may even hear an owl or frogs in the distance.
On clear nights the stars are spectacular!

We are an established Christmas tree farm in a rural neighbourhood. During the month of December you may enjoy seeing some Christmas cheer during the day as tree hunters roam the property searching for their Christmas tree.

Please note

- During the end of October, November, and part of December the other side of the building is a workshop where someone may be on site making Christmas Greenery/Wreaths.
- We will be closed for Christmas Tree sales for 2025.

We live on the property but our house is through the trees from the guesthouse. At the guesthouse you are privately surrounded by trees.

Tap water is non-potable. We provide potable water in a drinking cooler that dispenses hot, cold, and room temperature. We ask that you conserve running water to the best of your ability.

Please note there is no washing machine but you are welcome to use the dryer.
Thank-you

Megan was very helpful. Thank you! The cabin is very private - I could comfortably practice my oboe! Everything we needed was provided. We really enjoyed our stay and will consider coming back in the winter as a base for snowshoeing adventures at Forbidden Plateau.
