If you’re interested in adult down time, avoid this property until they make changes in their policies.
Beautiful property in a beautiful location.
Incompetent parents letting their children run feral. When combined with the complete lack of adult only facilities, sections or times at locations like either pool on the property (something unheard of in our experience for a property claiming to be a resort) made their use anything but relaxing. We spent most of our time at the beach avoiding the chaos.

Amazing, breathtaking, beautiful…will return!!
The view was just breathtaking! We didn’t even feel like we needed to leave! We could see mountains, waterfalls, rainbows….we heard the ocean. Even in the rain the lanai was comfortable!

We loved Hanalei Bay Resort and would return.
Loved the resort, loved our room. Staff was great.
Unfortunately, the resort is currently lacking some amenities, including the primary restaurant, and most importantly, a basic sundries store. There was no place to buy small basic items you might need, including sunscreen or a simple bottle of water. Even the soda machines weren't working.
