Baltistan Fort Resort is situated amidst the breathtaking scenery of Skardu—something I can confidently say is incomparable to any stay I have experienced worldwide. Every hotel or resort can provide comfort, hospitality and good service to build its business. But when something unexpected happens and the host stands by you and treats you like family, that is what truly sets a place apart. And that is exactly what happened to us. The warmth, compassion and personal care shown by the owner went far beyond conventional hospitality. the location was great - at the edge of a desert, surrounded by stunning views of mountains. The place was clean, rustic and quiet.

the photos/description suggested that it's a proper hotel with a range of services. Instead, it's a tiny place - a homestay with lots of electricity interruptions, poor internet, minimal services, no English speakers. It is located at the end of a residential area, difficult to find, especially due to poor internet connection in the area. We couldn't reach them by phone either.
