Athenian Elegance, Ensuite Whirlpool & Fireplace Near Acropolis

I liked the following: Everything is as shown on the pictures. Check-in took 5 minutes to read the PDF until we find the key box name and passcode. We did 3 nights begging of June. Quite central and safe location in Koukaki without the noisy center. It's near metro, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, acropolis, national park etc. Landlord/property management was professional. Texted to make sure we are all good and was responding fast to queries. Place feels modern, felt decently clean, bed was comfy enough and was equipped with everything in all the rooms. Had 2 ACs and everything was though of such as window blinds for the night, many towels, bathrobe etc. Jacuzzi was very nice and practical next to bed and bathroom. To turn it off you had to press again the button, as we were waiting it 10 minutes and wondering why it does not turn off automatically as in the hotels. Good place for this price and location if you are planning to spend your days mostly in bed and the jacuzzi it's worth it.

I didn't like the following: There was a light noise from the neighbors at night. The shower switch was broken and could not be turn on to run the water from the top but only from the hose. There was a medium-strong smell of cigarettes the first night, caused probably from last guests smoking in the apartment, which we fixed the next day by keeping doors open and having the AC run all day to filter the air. Located on the first floor and there are no usable balconies, so you can't enjoy any Athens views with the morning coffee or at night with a glass of wine. Even though there are massive windows, you would still keep the curtains on all day for privacy, which makes it darker and you would need to turn on the lights around. We got the place because of the jacuzzi for the price and location, but next time i would get something on an upper floor/penthouse with views instead. Not big deal for me personally as a man, but there were few baby cockroaches that kept appearing half-dead around the apartment, which can be quite common for apartments in Athens on ground level/1st floor, but still not pleasant. Only on our last night, yes there was an electrical fault where the living room light somehow dims the light and not completely switching off, which we had to close the main circuit and play a bit with the light switches until we managed in the end to turn it off completely. However next day for some reason we didn't had hot water and we had to press the button on the board and wait 30 minutes for hot water to shower before checkout. We asked to check out in the afternoon around 6-8pm, as our flight was at 23:00, but we were told that if we want, we have to pay a late checkout after 1pm we had to pay for the whole day. We checked on booking the apartment was available for rent for the next days, which means it was going to be vacant anyways. I know this is business, but we didn't ask for another free night, but just to checkout later.

Very spacious I think this is perfect for travelling with your partner. There is a nearby park, restaurant, grocery. Everything was great!

A bit noisy but that is expected.

The location of the accommodation was excellent, not far from the Acropolis and also had some really nice bars and restaurants around. The rooms were nicely furnished and showed great love for detail. The owners were helpful and the checkin experience was fast and great!

It was a little noisy, as the walls are poorly soundproofed. We heard a lot of noise from our neighbours, but also outdoors was a streetmarket (apparently every Friday) which they started preparing from 4am. Therefore, it was a struggle to sleep.

Great location, amazing design, and aesthetic that makes you instantly feel at home. The host was extremely helpful when we needed them. We loved everything

It would be more convenient if the boiler could hold more hot water
