Leafy Hollow Lodge

So cosy. Sarah was incredibly welcoming on email and text. The lodge was very clean. The decking was well protected and the layout of the sofas was perfect for conversations and enjoying time together. There were enough plates, pans and utensils for everything we needed to do and it was very peaceful in the wood. We received all the potential notifications from the property within 24 hours of booking which seemed like a glitch. Thankfully Sarah was timely with her text with up to date entry code and key safe codes. Had she not done that it would have been ensnared within Sykes holiday website so we were very grateful for the communication. The sofas were so comfortable that we ended up sleeping on them on some nights we were there! The children stated how very comfortable the beds were in their rooms too. There were plenty of hangers and storage for clothing. The spa was amazing! Highly recommend the golf club and golf club restaurant too. A great walk through the golf club public footpath brings you out in a village with a lovely traditional pub with excellent play area for children. Sarah was helpful throughout our stay.

It always feels a little tight to provide a low number of loo rolls for 5 guests for a week. Blanket on bed in main bedroom smelled a bit of dogs which indicated they had not been laundered between visitors. The decorations were a bit too Christmassy for the time of year (August). I can see the Nordic styling but it felt a bit more seasonal than Scandi. The cistern in the main bedroom needs attention. Sometimes it ran for a very long time in the middle of the night. Internet was very slow and some other lodges had starlink to cope with the issue. However it's a personal choice whether to purchase from Elon Musk so I wouldn't complain about that specifically. We knew it would be unreliable anyway due to the tree canopy. It bothered our teenager more than us. However despite all these minor issues we had a wonderful time in Leafy Hollow lodge and would recommend to others.

We stayed at Leafy Hollow Lodge and it was a truly wonderful experience. The setting was lovely, nestled in the shade of tall trees. Every morning, as we had breakfast, we could see and even feed the squirrels. The lodge was impeccably clean and incredibly comfortable

Wi-Fi connection was a bit unstable at times.

Clean and tidy well laid out , comfortable everything you could wish for and more
