The cabin is in an absolutely stunning location and is easily accessible via the free mountain railway (free in summer; requires a lift ticket in winter), with 365° panoramic views and a ski school right at the valley station. Markbachjochhütte Wildschönau WILD700: From the ski lodge, enjoy a direct view of the Wilder Kaiser and the surrounding mountains of the Kitzbühel Alps. During the season, you can enjoy Tyrolean cuisine at the on-site mountain restaurant. The lodge owner offers an excellent mountain breakfast at the lodge upon reservation and for a fee. Amenities: Living area approx. 85 m², 2 bedrooms—each with a double bed and a bunk bed—accommodating up to 8 people. One of the two bedrooms opens onto the balcony; large kitchen-dining area with a corner bench and chairs. 1 shower/toilet, 1 guest toilet. Storage space for skis and bicycles inside the house. Paragliding launch site directly below the house; ski-in/ski-out access. In summer, hiking and mountain biking tours start from the cabin. The cabin owner offers luggage transport from the lift exit. Free parking at the valley station. Outside of gondola operating hours, it is possible to drive to the cabin via a private dirt road (summer only!). In winter, the road is passable only with snow chains and only as far as the parking lot at Markbachjoch.

The absolute and newest highlight is the spectacular new Alpin Coaster at the Drachental Adventure Park in the town of Oberau, 5 km away. Riding the coaster sled takes you down to 1,355 meters through numerous curves and down into the valley, with some sections reaching heights of up to 25 meters.
