Welcome to our charming cottage, nestled in a serene and private natural setting just a few minutes away from Murphy town center and the John C Campbell Folk School in Brasstown.
If you're an adventurer at heart, you'll find our cottage to be the perfect base for exploring hiking trails, experiencing the thrill of white-water rafting, and discovering picturesque waterfalls. Alternatively, you can spend peaceful days by the nearby lakes or immerse yourself in the tranquility of the Nantahala National Forest trails.
For those seeking a more leisurely experience, downtown Murphy boasts a variety of unique local shops to explore and excellent dining options to satisfy your taste buds. Moreover, our cottage is conveniently located only 40 minutes from Blue Ridge, making it an ideal hub for visiting the area's delightful vineyards and breweries or engaging in thrilling outdoor activities like hiking and white-water rafting.
If your idea of a perfect getaway involves relaxation and serenity, you'll love our fire pit area, where you can enjoy delightful campfire evenings while being surrounded by the soothing sounds of the nearby creek.
Now, let's take a look inside our cozy retreat. The open kitchen is well-equipped with modern amenities, including stainless steel appliances, a Keurig coffee maker, blender, toaster, and other essentials, perfect for preparing home-cooked meals. The living and dining areas are connected, providing a comfortable space to relax and unwind. On a quiet evening, you can even enjoy the ambiance of the electric fireplace and entertain yourself with board games and puzzles.
The cottage offers three bedrooms to accommodate up to five guests. The master bedroom features a spacious king-size bed with an attached bathroom, complete with a walk-in shower. The second bedroom offers a queen-size bed, and the third bedroom is equipped with a full bed and a desk/workstation. The second bathroom can be accessed from the second bedroom or the hall. It has a shower/tub combo and double sink vanity. For your convenience, there's a laundry room with a washer and dryer.
Outside, you'll find an inviting seating area overlooking the creek, where you can spend leisurely moments surrounded by nature's beauty. The large front deck also provides additional space for relaxation.

Nice location on a sweet little creek. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and it was great having two bathrooms with our group of five. Be aware that if you need to work online, the internet can be very spotty. It’s a bit of a drive to get into town, but the folk school not far away.

The stay had everything one would expect to find at a VRBO and then some. The home felt brand new, including all amenities. The location was perfect and we spent several days exploring the many creeks and rivers in be area. My only suggestions are to add a tv in the master bedroom, include instructions for in case the internet goes down (the modem or router are locked away and it took us overnight to think of resetting the electric breaker), supply more trash bags, and improve access to the on-site creek. Really though- these are personal preferences and the property truly is beautifully kept and comfy. We’d absolutely stay here again!!
