Perfect, couldn’t have asked for more

This Airbnb was perfect, modern, clean, tidy, comfy and great location. The property had a washer dryer also which was a godsend given its winter and wet right now and as I was coming straight off a plane they accommodated me a few hours early at no extra cost! It’s Walking distance to city centre, German market, Libary, Brindley place, local groceries, etc and the apartment complex is beautiful and safe. The Gym is also set up really good!

Excellent views, very clean, good communication, but poor key collection.

The building itself is lovely, very secure and has great views. The apartment was clean, well presented and had lots of amenities. It is that good, I have now moved my usual stay at the Park Regis hotel to booking here when I travel down to Birmingham.

Initial Key collection. If you turn up late due to traffic or other commitments, the keys are left at a secure key nest location. Meant a good 10/15-minute round-trip walking to collect them. Other than that it was great.

As it says, so much better than a hotel

Excellent apartment, nice panoramic window, plenty of room, fridge, oven etc to make yourself at home, spotless, as it says so much better than a hotel room. There's a handy small Tescos and Sainsburys just across the road. Only a few minutes walk to the Art Gallery/ Museum, Library, The Rep etc and all the food and drink places around Brindley Place.

I somehow overlooked that the bed was only a basic double, nowadays you usually expect a Queen at least, I'm six foot plus, so not overly comfy, my own fault for not double checking. A couple of other small things would have helped, a tea towel, place and drinks mats. Oh and be aware Brindley Place/Broad street is incredibly noisy on Friday and Saturday nights, till 5:00am, this fact of course applies to all hotels in the area, I think the soundproofing in the Mercian building is probably as good as it gets.

AMAZING

My stay at this apartment was excellent from start to finish. The property was very clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described. One of the highlights was the stunning view, which made the experience even more enjoyable and relaxing. The host was highly responsive and attentive, promptly addressing any questions I had, which gave me peace of mind throughout my stay. The free parking was an added bonus — although it is about a five-minute walk from the apartment, it was very easy to access and convenient throughout my stay. Overall, this was a comfortable and pleasant experience, and I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to others or return myself in the future.

The only downside was that the bin was not changed during my three-day stay, and there were no instructions provided on how to handle this. Having clearer guidance on waste disposal would be great

Excellent location. Fantastic views over the city. Lovely building with a great terrace and lounge are available to use. Very helpful and communicative staff.

The beds need pillows to suit a person who might like more than a small, thin pillow to sleep on. Just having that option in the cupboard would make this place ideal. While barefoot the living room floor felt like it hadn’t been deep cleaned in a while. I didn’t like this.

Comfortable and well- organized!!

the Room itself was quite comfort and spacey. i like the environment nearby as well as it was quite Crowded with Full of people walking ups and down the streets and LOts of friendly faces but the Security is by far the Best!! With its remote controller allocated with eac specific floors & Level ONLY!! You don't have to Worry any stranger might break- in or stealing happens!!

Lovely place - recommend it.

Very clean and well equipped. Excellent location right opposite Tesco express on broad street. High ceiling living rooms with glassed windows offering great views of city. We were hosted by Jai who was v friendly and supportive and always available on WhatsApp. Bldg has many facilities and works on secured access offering a v safe clean modern stay to customers.

Only one bathroom for two bedrooms. No black out curtains so too much light on mornings.

Clean modern apartment Well arranged and in a good location (broad street). The company I rented the short stay apartment from were amazing and always updated me when there were any alterations to the apartment, and also acceded to my requests speedily.

The shower had no place for me to put my soap during shower. I had to keep my soap all the way on the ground. The lift smelt bad twice when I was on it (dustbin waste spilled on the floor of the lift, the other time it seemed like a dustbin smell as well on the lift. It took a long time for the apartment staff to get the mess on the lift cleaned up and the get lift smelling fine). Lastly, the staff at the reception aren’t welcoming and warm.

The car parking away from the building is not the best solution. The host was able to book my car in advance of arriving, so there were no issues. However, the car park is very dirty, and after parking and going down the stairs to the exit, it was smelling of urine. It would be much better if you can park in the underground car park.

Modern and clean apartment in gorgeous building

+ Friendly and helpful staff (shoutout to Ross who efficiently fixed the shower temperature issue) + Washing machine and clothes airer + Very comfortable sofa + Amazing on-site gym + Modern and tasteful interior design + Powerful shower

+ The window blinds do let in some light but minor issue fixed with eye mask + The shower is half glass design which personally annoys me as you’re worried to not splash water on the floor making it harder to relax…but that’s me nitpicking.

Nice apartment, but 22 degrees and no aircon didn’t work

Apartment was nice, had good iron and kitchen utensils which I always like. The apartment felt quite light and airy with a great view

No aircon made it really uncomfortable. When I opened the little window things it was so windy that it wasn’t really feasible to keep them open. The fan provided just blew hot air about.

After leaving, the key fob is kept indoors but then you’d need the key fob to access the bin area. That need to be improved as it was a bit stressful going back and forth looking for someone to open the bin area.

Great potential but significant maintenance and cleanliness issues

The location of the apartment is convenient, and the space has great potential. The furniture is stylish, and the apartment could be a fantastic place to stay with some basic improvements.

The car park lift was out of order. As we were instructed to park on the upper level this meant walking down several levels of a filthy, urine-smelling stairwell with our luggage, which was grossly unpleasant and made me feel unwell. The apartment didn’t smell clean upon arrival, and the condition of the carpet and surfaces was poor. It needed significant cleaning and maintenance. The kitchen especially was not properly cleaned. The crockery was dirty and chipped, the hob had food stains, and the oven and extractor fan were greasy. The apartment was constantly too warm, and the temperature control didn’t work at all, making the space uncomfortable to stay in. The furniture, while stylish, was uncomfortable to sit on for more than 30 minutes. We had booked a larger apartment with a bath but only found a shower, and there was no desk as we had confirmed after booking. This led to us having to work from the kitchen table, which wasn’t ideal for our work commitments. Had we known there was no desk, we would have adjusted our working payyer which was especially disappointing. The faeces left in the toilet brush holder was unacceptable and unhygienic.

Executive style for bargain price! Just 1 thing…

Fantastic building, the room and amenities are spot on and the location is perfect for city access. My only negative which I spoke to the venue about was, as a women travelling alone, I expect an internal lock chain or some kind of manual internal lock, the pic shows what I did to help my mind feel at ease… They are looking into this. The continued contact and customer care exceeds any I have experienced from my global travels at multiple prestigious brands. Great choice and I will be back!
