Meworld Hotel - Songshan

If you’re looking for just the basics, MeWorld hotel provides just enough. The room was clean and spacious. We carried with us two medium size suitcases. We had enough space to lay them out. The room was odor free. The bed was clean and there was no stain on the bed sheets. Bed size was standard and spacious. Comfortable. The bathroom was decent in size with a bathtub available. The bathtub leans on the smaller side as it is Asian size. Water ran clean and hot water supply was stable. You’ll expect to see some mold around in the bathroom since the weather is usually humid. It is not terrible. You only see a speck here or there. Nothing out of the ordinary. It is not a 5-star hotel and you’d see some wear and tear. Nonetheless it is decent and it would be comfortable. Its location is good. It is right in front of multiple bus stops. The closest MRT station is only a few minutes away. The night market is also only 10 minutes away. You can buy the local delicacies and bring it back to the hotel to enjoy at night. Staff members were generally helpful. The cleaners failed to clean our room within the day. Once we told the front desk staff member, he attended to it swiftly.

Our stay at Pure Mi World Hotel in Taipei had a mix of positives and significant inconveniences. The biggest issue we encountered was with the hotel’s address listed on Agoda. When we arrived from the airport, we booked an Uber and entered the exact address provided. However, it led us to the wrong location—an area with no visible hotel, surrounded by houses and far from the main road. Our driver had to search for the hotel on Google to find the correct location. This caused unnecessary stress, especially for first-time visitors who are unfamiliar with the area and language. The hotel should urgently update their address and provide clearer directions or nearby landmarks. Even upon reaching the correct area, the hotel was difficult to locate. The entrance is a very small door, almost hidden among nearby establishments, and the signage is not prominent. It’s located near a FamilyMart, which is actually easier to spot than the hotel itself. The location, however, is a strong point. Once you find it, it’s conveniently close to night markets and several restaurants, all within walking distance. The reception area is located on an upper floor and is quite limited—there are no seats or waiting areas, so guests are left standing while waiting. Check-in is strictly at 4:00 PM, which is later than usual, and the staff did not offer much flexibility. The room itself was smaller than expected compared to the photos online. Space is very limited, especially if you have multiple pieces of luggage. The air conditioning was also underwhelming and not cold enough, which made the room uncomfortable at times. On the positive side, the bathroom was a highlight. It featured a smart ventilation system with adjustable settings, which was a nice touch. However, we encountered a major issue on our second day when the toilet became clogged and overflowed. While the staff did assist using a manual pump, it left us hesitant to use it normally afterward. Housekeeping could also be improved. While water was replenished, the room and bathroom were not thoroughly cleaned during our stay. Overall, while the location is convenient, the inaccurate address, small room size, maintenance issues, and inconsistent cleanliness make this hotel difficult to recommend—especially for groups. It may be more suitable for solo travelers with minimal luggage.

Overall, it was a good stay. Staff were very helpful with my queries. The place is close to Raohe night market :)
