Appartement lumineux 6 pers avec balcon et parking à Châtel - FR-1-198-241

I believe this is the first review on booking.com so I will try to put as much detail. The apartment was very comfortable for 2 adults and 2 young adults. I think it would only sleep 4 max. The kitchen area and lounge was very spacious. The kitchen had everything that we needed and ample plates/glasses/cutlery/toaster/kettle etc. The beds were very comfy and there was plenty of storage and places to dry your clothing after skiing. It was nicely decorated and very easy to clean at the end of the stay (there is an add on for cleaning if you want it but we did it ourselves). As standard in France, there is also an add on for bedding but we brought our own sheets and pillowcases but there are duvet covers provided. I would definitely recommend this property, we had a very good, comfortable and warm stay.

The proximity to the village is as the crow flies. It is up a very long, steep, winding road to the village. However, there is a shortcut. You can walk up one of the hills as you come out of the apartments which takes you onto chem. des Ruisseaux and turn right and there are steps up to the village parking, inside the parking is a lift up to the village, this cuts out a lot of time although you need to be fit - there is a bus if you have skis (until 6pm) but if you are hiring then I recommend you leave the skis in the hire shop overnight. It is all downhill on the way back. Just a tip about eating out - reserve tables as it is difficult to get a table in the restaurants on spec. Check out time is very early - 9am.
