Great stay at Old Thai Heng Hotel. Owner is hands on and is just lovely! Staff are all warm, friendly and helpful. I will concur that it was the comfiest mattress I've slept in in Thailand. If you're ok with walking your luggage, some 350 meters, it's a piece of cake and only 70 baht one way to the airport. If ever returning to Bangkok, I would choose to stay here. Rooms clean and well maintained.

good location that's walking distance from all the food spots, street stalls and shops of chinatown and song wat road, yet away from the main crowd and noise! hotel is near a train station as well. room was spacious, bathroom was clean and the beds were comfortable. do note that you need to pay 500 baht cash deposit upfront when checking in, but we checked out early and got the deposit back for some quick last minute shopping and eating in the area. staff were very pleasant and helped to look after our luggage too! would definitely return again 👍🏻

PROS: Nice and clean. LOCATION: Local eateries nearby, Chinatown and Metro within walking distance. REVIEW:  Stayed Jan-2025 for 3 nights in deluxe twin room without breakfast.  Hotel has 1 lift, reception assisted us with luggage to the lift only.  Keycard is only valid for your floor only (on exiting the lift, each floor has a master door to the floor after which individual rooms can be accessed).  Nice clean rooms, wood-effect flooring.  Shower cubicle in clean bathroom.  Safe, mini-fridge, kettle, cups, coffee and teas.  The guest toilets in reception were very clean. NEGATIVES  Window looked out to an internal stairway.
