A small but perfect little place to stay

The Hawks Nest was excellent, such a lovely place to stay. The toom was set up beautifully and there was everything you could need. The basket of tea and coffee (and cookies) was just great too. The bed was so comfortable and we slept like logs. The shower was hot and the water pressure good too. We were watching bats in the evening around the pond which was such a treat. We would stay again in a heartbeat. THANKYOU for a really fantastic couple of nights stay.

The ONLY thing is the issues we had shutting the door, but with such a secluded place this was not a worry for us.

Perfect cabin for a quiet getaway with wonderful hosts - a must visit!

It was such a quiet and beautiful location, so close to Padstow and Wadebridge but away from the hustle and bustle. The cabin is private and not facing the campground so you get your own space and there’s a beautiful gas BBQ available to use as well! The owners were incredibly friendly and lovely, left us a bottle of rosé on our arrival and really made sure we were comfortable and happy! It was spotless, with so many little extras to really make you feel like you’re at home. A good size shower with a great water pressure as well - We would definitely come back!

Well equipped, peaceful escape with a private duck pond!

Lovely set up with a well equipment kitchen. It had everything we needed. Comfy bed, nice quality linens and towels and very quiet. Easy to find and 2 dedicated parking spaces. We'd definitely stay again.

I struggled to lock the door on the first night, I think it was user error but might need a bit of WD40! The next day it was find when my fiancé tried it!

Amazing. Just amazing.

We loved everything about our stay at Hawks Nest. From the amenities available to us, to the friendly and accommodating hosts, everything was perfect. Waking up every morning, watching various wildlife from the comfort of the cabin, enjoying the wonderful pond next to it. The cabin is nice and secluded, giving off peaceful vibes, but is only a few minutes drive away from central Wadebridge and Padstow. The owners were so lovely and helpful, making sure we were comfortable and providing everything we needed during our stay. Their BBQ is fantastic so we enjoyed lots of good food throughout. We would love to stay again and highly recommend Hawks Nest to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in the most beautiful part of England.

Ideal for my needs

A little compact but ideal for a weekend away. I travel a lot on my own, watching non-league football, but I always rate a place on whether you could comfortably take your wife/girlfriend with you. This certainly meets that standard. On a quiet farm just a short drive from Wadebridge. Couple of real ale foody pubs nearby.

Would have been happy to stay for longer

A lovely secluded farm with a well sign posted entrance. The room has lots of amenities, and you have been really thought of as a guest. Everything and more was provided. I really enjoyed watching the tadpoles in the pond, and the lovely seating out front to enjoy the view. The shower has great pressure, which I was impressed with to say it's secluded. A really lovely stay which I'd have been happy staying in for a few days rather than just the night. My only thing was that we rang the phone number on the booklet in the morning and it wasn't answered which I understand working on a farm is all go so understandble! but we never got a text reply either, which would have been appreciated to say they couldn't help or didn't see the message until hours later etc. Maybe the booklet number is an old one?
