The Dragon's Hut with cozy logburner

We came to the area to see the Oswestry Ballon Festival which was amazing and in doing so found John’s fabulous, idyllic place to stay for the weekend. The setting is wonderful with fabulous views and the birdsong lovely. We used the BBQ for both breakfast and dinner as the weather was really good, which was great. The pool was really refreshing too. Dragon’s hut is very well thought out with everything you need for a short break, the shower was powerful and hot and the bed was very comfortable. We put £5 in the electricity meter for the weekend as we didn’t want it to run out during our stay. No idea if we were anywhere near doing so, but £5 was ok for a two night stay but we didn’t waste any energy to ensure we were covered. We were able to put our food in the fridge at 2pm which we were thankful for as we were heading straight out to the festival and wanted the food and wine chilled for our return later that evening. Overall a great weekend away in a fabulous setting.

Not a big issue but there was only 1 outside garden chair near to the hut for two people therefore another chair would be good. There is a bench for 4 people further down the garden area near the BBQ, but early on it was in the shade, whereas the chairs can be moved around to suit your needs. Also more relaxed chairs are better for stargazing with a glass of wine.

Received a warm welcome and site information from John before heading down to our accommodation. Lovely, cozy, peaceful, rustic hut with amazing views & dragons! Had everything you could need for a quiet getaway. Set in lovely grounds with lawned paths through the fields and little sitting areas to gaze at the pretty scenery. Husband was extremely pleased with the bbq equipment it made cooking alfresco very enjoyable. The swimming pool was a lovely touch and we enjoyed the fit pit area too!

We found this lovely holiday site/accomodation by chance, whilst looking for somewhere to stay near Llangollen. Such a peaceful setting with beautiful views, the Dragons hut is charming and quirky. We loved it. The hut was clean and tidy. The pool is a bonus and perfectly fine for both accompanied children and adults. The new addition of a hot tub will further enhance the appeal. A couple of relaxing chairs would also offer the chance to take in the stunning scenery on offer from the immediate outdoor space. We would certainly recommend and would hope to revisit with our family in the near future

Excellent Shepherds Hut with good size bed and sho, great barbecue with great views, hot weather but brilliant cooling pool . Very helpful and friendly owner. A great find and will return
