The open-plan living space includes a kitchen housing an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, electric fire, and dining table. The bedrooms include a double with en-suite shower and two twins, serviced by a bathroom. To the outside is a decking with furniture and hot tub, along with off-road parking for 2 cars. Fuel, power, WiFi, bed linen and towels are included in rent. Within 2.2 miles there is a shop and within 0.1 miles there is a pub. Fuel, WiFi, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. This lodge accepts two pets however smoking is not allowed. Bock Retreat is a delightful escape in rural Northumberland.

The village has a shop with a post office, coffee shop, pub, and restaurant. The castle is also well-known for its role as Hogwarts in the "Harry Potter" film series. Nearby attractions include miles of sandy beaches, dozens of castles, and boat trips to the world-famous Farne Islands, and Alnwick itself has a nice selection of shops, pubs, and restaurants. All in all, it's a great base from which to discover Northumberland and its breathtaking Heritage Coast.
