Filled with character, charm and history. Once the home of the Kenneth Krider family. He played an integral role in Krider Nurseries and established the Krider World's Fair Garden on Bristol Street. With 4 bedrooms and 2 baths, we comfortably sleep up to 8 guests. The front porch, a delightful spot. The shaded backyard, a peaceful retreat. This blend of history, comfort, and modern amenities, a great place to stay. We are 8 mi. from Shipshewana, and 27 mi. from Notre Dame.

One of THE BEST places we’ve ever stayed. Our host went over the top to make our stay comfortable. We had plenty of room, cookies upon arrival, beautiful back yard, comfortable rooms, great location. Just loved everything. Booking Shaina for next year!

Our group of 5 ladies stayed in this lovely home for 4 nights in Sept. 2025. We loved sitting on the front porch with the horse and buggies going by. Everything about this home is so comfortable and inviting and beautifully decorated. From the delicious "Welcome" cookies, providing bottled water, coffee, etc to the comfortable sitting areas, large dining room table, and spacious bedrooms. The home was spotless, and Mike & Rose assisted with all of our trip planning questions and requests. We appreciated the upstairs bathroom which a lot of older homes do not have. It is on the small side, but it met our needs. We did not have time to enjoy the back yard with the fire pits, croquet, bags, etc., but it would be perfect for a family! It was a short drive to Shipshewana with beautiful countryside. You absolutely cannot go wrong by choosing this "Charming 1912 Bungalow." We hated to leave and if the opportunity ever arises, we will be back!

It was an easy choice picking to stay here again. A block away from West On Warren and very convenient for our work trip. Plenty of room for us! Appreciate all of the included amenities and the cookies are the best!

We so much enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful, comfortable, and spotless. Rose responded immediately to any questions. The extra touches - a coffee bar, extra toothbrushes, cookies from a local bakery to name just a few - are so thoughtful. We’re already planning to book again.

This was our second stay at the Bungalow, and we enjoyed it as much our first. My group of 8 were traveling to attend a Notre Dame football game and stayed over the weekend. Our experience with the property and the host was excellent. There was great communication, attention to detail, beautifully decorated spaces and even some extras like coffee and cookies that made us fell so welcomed. My entire group wanted to stay longer so we could enjoy more of the property and the surrounding area.

Perfect location to stay as we had 4 adults from work visiting RV Factories in the area. The location of this property, cleanliness, and modern updates would give it 5 STARS.

Most amazing home away from home house I’ve ever stayed at! Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, was exactly as described in the listing (and then some!). Quiet neighborhood, cute shops, close to hardcore shopping in Shipshewana. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful property, felt immediately welcomed with a nice message and a stocked coffee barr, property was perfectly located with ease to all the places we wanted to go. Took advantage of a couple restaurant references and really enjoyed our meals. The home was perfect for our group of 5 and allowed us to enjoy watching the laid back town pass by and even enjoying sitting and doing a puzzle together. Staying at this beautiful home was so comfortable and saved us lots of money if we had to stay at a hotel. This home was so wonderful we would definitely stay here againtime to spend sotting on the porch

We loved our stay at the Bungalow on Brown. We felt right at home. It was supplied with everything we needed and more. Many thoughtful touches that helped us feel so comfortable. The night we arrived we were able to sit on the back deck and watch the fireflies! There was a festival across the street that was fun to see. We cooked a family dinner and the kitchen had everything we needed. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to this area.

My Mom and daughters and I stayed to celebrate my Mom’s 75th! We had an amazing weekend and we absolutely loved everything about this house! From the ribboned towels to the fresh baked welcome cookies to all the little extras! We can tell the owners put so much thought into the decor, stocking the kitchen and overall making us feel right at home. We will definitely be back!

I can't say enough about this bungalow-it was so clean and well decorated (for Christmas!) and we just loved staying there. The upstairs bathroom is quite small however there is a bigger one downstairs so it worked out well for us. Easily walkable to restaurants, park, etc.

My group stayed at the Bungalow for a weekend trip to attend a ND football game and briefly explore the area. Everyone in the group was immediately impressed with the property. The house is really spacious, full of charm and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed breakfast in the kitchen, playing cards in the dining room and relaxing in the living room. Some amenities we appreciated were:
the stocked coffee bar, espresso maker, separate heating/cooling controls for the rooms, the detailed welcome binder, and many more. My group all agreed that we would love to come back and spend more time at the Bungalow on Brown!

The Bungalow was such a pleasant surprise! From the photos and prior reviews we knew we had booked a place that would suit us well for our stay in the area to visit family but we were blown away by how beautifully appointed every room was. The host's attention to detail - from the cozy decor to the personal amenities - really upped the *wow* factor. The kitchen was fully stocked so we could stay in for a meal rather than dine out. We loved coming "home" to the Bungalow at the end of our busy days and will definitely return when we're in the area again. I highly recommend this vacation rental!

The house had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. Rooms are spacious and furnished nicely. Loved the coffee bar. I didn’t cook there so I can’t comment on cooking necessities/items but I saw that they had pots and pans and other cookware. Notebook with home info and instructions was short and sweet. FYI for prospective renters: Stairs are steep with somewhat narrow steps (not unusual for an older home probably). Hold on to the rail while going up and down. We didn’t have any issues. Owner (Rose) was great with communication. We had a great stay. We hope to go back in the spring so we can enjoy the nice backyard. Thank you, Rose!

We came to the area to attend a ND football game. What a gem we found in the bungalow. It has been updated beautifully. There are so many little touches that the owners have added. Yummy coffee bar and cookies, water in the fridge and SO MUCH MORE. The front porch was a great place to sit and watch the world go by (including the horse and buggies!) and there are so many comfy little reading corners. I regret not having time to try them all out. We are planning to come back and spend more time at the bungalow.

Everything was very finely decorated for fall decor.
What a great location to walk to the restaurants and gardens. We used all 4 bedrooms which had lovely sheets and thick towels.
The kitchen was stocked with all kinds of coffees and snacks and water bottles.

This home has been beautifully renovated with all the charm of an historical property. Large spacious rooms, great outdoor space and a quaint, comfortable front porch. I was so impressed with the attention to details from bottled water to an extensive coffee bar. The hosts considered every need of their guests. Great walkability to many restaurants and shops. I would recommend this home to anyone.

There were 5 sisters and the home was perfect for us. Every need was anticipated for our stay. We couldn't have been happier. Whether in the home or on the front porch, we wanted for nothing. The welcome messages and treats from the hosts were so thoughtful. The only suggestion is seeing if another bathroom could be added on the second floor. With 5 people staying it did require some scheduling. It was workable and as children growing up we all shared one bathroom but I guess we're somewhat spoiled now. I do want to add everything was spotlessly clean which is key for us. Thank you so much.

This is a beautiful home with lovely furnishings. The host was very communicative, responsive, and easy to work with. Easy check-out. Nice big kitchen. Easy walking distance to Krider Gardens and an ice cream shop along the Pumpkin Vine Trail. Lovely bedrooms. Very enjoyable stay!

Rose and Mike leave no stone unturned as the perfect hosts! We stay in several vacation properties a year, and these two pay so much attention to every little detail. This darling cottage home lends a feel of luxury in the heart of Amish country!

Very pleasant and luxurious, and we want to come back for a more lengthy stay. It had so many thoughtful extras, such as latte machine, cookies, snacks, water bottles, kindling for the fire pit, full rack of Keurig coffees, games, and bathroom extras. The only drawback is that there is one tiny bathroom for the three upstairs bedrooms, but it is worth working it out amongst us.

Five of us friends go on an outing every year and this year we went to the Middlebury area to see the Quilt Gardens and murals. The house was perfect for our group. Clean, attractive, and comfortable with a bed for each person. The owners had water in the fridge for us and cookies on the island. If you happened to forget any general cosmetic item the hosts had you covered. Very nice front porch and back deck to relax on and big dining room table for game nights. We would go back.
