I booked two rooms at this property. While the grounds are beautiful with nice loungers and a pool, our overall experience was disappointing. •Nice Grounds: The property itself is visually appealing with a clean pool and lounge area. •Security: The gated entrance provides a sense of safety, though it comes with some inconvenience. The property has a locked gate for security, which is good, but you have to wait for someone to open it every time you want to enter or leave. This means standing at the entrance, sometimes in the rain, waiting for someone to let you in. •Difficult Location: The location is not convenient. It's only suitable if you plan to rent a motorbike or are happy to always take a tricycle. You can arrange a bike rental through the security guard (he calls someone), but not directly with the hotel. •No Staff at Check-in: We arrived around 6 PM due to a delayed ferry from Siquijor. There was no staff member available, only a security guard who gave us the keys and a WiFi password for just one day. When I asked if that meant the internet would stop working after midnight, he gave us another piece of paper with a new code. Not a very convenient system. •Room Issues: One room was very close to the road, which was uncomfortable. The WiFi for the TV in the other room didn't work and wasn't fixed until the next morning. The air conditioners are incredibly loud-there is no remote, only a panel on the unit itself. •Questionable Cleanliness: While the room was generally clean, the curtains and sheets had old, permanent-looking stains. Also, if you use the decorative vase, you need to change the water daily—the water in both rooms was already green. •Lack of English & Poor Communication: The staff speaks very little English, which led to multiple problems: Wrong Breakfast Orders: They messed up two out of three breakfast orders, despite them being simple pre-set options (Filipino or American breakfast). The food itself was not good—dry pancakes with no syrup, two toasts, an egg, and three slices of watermelon. We only later realized we could ask for eggs cooked differently, but it wasn't explained. Another incident: on our last day, I went to put a sandwich in the common area refrigerator. The security guard stopped me, took it, and brought it toward the kitchen. I clearly said I needed the refrigerator. Later, when I asked for it back, he said he thought I wanted it thrown away—so he had thrown it in the trash. After a long, confusing conversation, he literally pulled it out of the trash and handed it back?! I do not understand why staff would guess instead of listening. If you don't speak English well, there's no need to take matters into your own hands. Honestly, I would not recommend this hotel. For the price you paid, can find significantly better options in the area with staff who speak English and provide basic service.
