Barn Suite

Self contained with plenty of space for all our luggage and to relax. Comfortable bed.

We arrived late at night and would have liked signage ie, Barn Suite to identify which building we had booked.

A charming rural setting, in a garden, away from the main road, with several good gastro pubs quite nearby. The main lounge-bedroom is very spacious, comfotable, tastefully decorated and the vaulted beamed ceiling is certainly a wow-factor. The host was easy to reach by phone and very helpful.

It would be a really wonderful property if the kitchen and shower room were refurbished. By day the surroundings were peaceful and quiet but, by night, frequent aeroplanes & vehicles are very audible.

Lovely walks from the doorstep and a very short walk to a good pub for food. Barn conversion in the countryside and accepted dogs. Main room is very nice and I found the bed comfortable. This is more of a bedsit than a 1 bed accommodation though as there is no separate bedroom

Being so close to Beaconsfield I had high expectations, but sadly felt the property fell a bit short. Small things like a pint of milk for tea in the morning would have been nice, but there was eggs and frozen raspberries, left from another stay. Dogs are accepted, but there isn't any fenced area surrounding the property so a bit restrictive, especially with kittens about, also potential lack of privacy as there are other holiday lets there. Pond next to the property was pea soup consistency, what could have been a nice feature was the opposite. Dated kitchen and bathroom needs a little updating, I think that it was clean, just a bit tired. There was a Glis Glis in the room running about running about at night, I know that these are a local issue in the Chilterns, and I've had them in other properties, but never above my bed. My dog enjoyed the entertainment, I didn't get much sleep so not a restful stay.
