Perfect Base for Walking In the Cairngorms

Stayed at Tighe na Lochan with my family for a few days winter hill walking. A lovely house just on the edge of Aviemore and within walking distance of all facilities. It had everything we needed and was so comfortable. A really nice touch was the fact that Fraser took the time to phone me the night before we travelled to let me know that, given weather warnings in the area, an earlier check in was available should we need it. We had a superb weekend in perfect winter conditions.

Brilliant family accommodation in a wonderful setting.

The owner went out of his way to offer an early entry time. His communications were at all times excellent. The property was very clean, decorated to a high standard and had everything you need. Beds were very comfortable with good quality linen. Good quality Toiletries were available. The location was superb just on the outskirts of town. There was parking for 2 cars.

There was nothing to dislike.

The most well-equipped self-catering accommodation I've stayed in! Just about everything had been thought of - decent kitchen utensils, nice fluffy towels, good quality bedding and beds, Sky TV, Disney+, washing line and pegs, shoe rack, coat pegs. All the simple stuff that so many hosts fail to consider how a house will actually be used by a family. I'd recommend this house to anyone for sure.

The key box is quite fiddley, we struggled for a good 5 mins to get it to open. A pizza tray for the oven would be handy.

Love house accommodation, destination, price will definitely look you up next time we are coming.

The space in the house. Quite col-de-sac easy to get to. birds in the garden at breakfast time.

Needs attention to detail in cleaning I. E. On suit bathroom shower lots of black mould shower head and coil to hot/cold control/ around shower bottom and doors. Same bedroom ceiling lamp covered in cobwebs. Kitchen cupboard covered in suger the one beside cooker hood. But all in all clean. maybe an over site due to extra cleaning with covid 19. will return

Fab property just outside Aviemore, would recommend!!

Very well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, nice linen, the fact there was Sky TV & Netflix!

Nothing at all, if we are being picky the living room light flickered and the shower door was hanging off (easily fixed) and the shower took time to drain. Such minor things, it's a fab property!!
