Sabala has a wonderful garden surrounding the property, a very hospitable, organised owner who helped us organise transport and responded to all our needs ( such as extra blankets). We had some wonderful vegetarian dinners as well as breakfasts. Another added bonus is their textile shop and sewing team on sight. I bought a few items and one needed alterations which were done immediately.
The beds were rather hard. Though you sleep peacefully as it’s so quiet on the edge of town surrounded by the garden and fields.

Beautiful place, value for money, excellent staff, and excellent food. The owner is an amazing and friendly person who goes out of her way to help you. She is a very inspirational person, and spending time with her was a great experience. The staff are also very supportive, and there is a lovely/exotic handicraft store in Sabala.
The place is based on a highway, to get vehicle is challenging if you haven't planned vehicles for travel. And as it is a jungle area, you might encounter insects.

I absolutely loved the green nook and sustainable practices being adapted at Sabala Heritage home. It has a charming earthly aesthetic ambience (and is a home to crafts centre too). The hospitality is very warm and excellent. They make sure you feel at home in every possible way. Their innovative healthy vegetarian recipes which ensure a wholesome healthy diet are quite unique and yummy. It was lovely to spend the year end at the homestay in my native place where I had gone back to do research on my grandfather. Dr. Mallamma is a highly resourceful and award winning Head of Sabala - an NGO working towards women's empowerment. She connected me to local journalists and heritage enthusiasts which helped me a lot in my primary research work. Sunrise views across the green expanse were beautiful. I look forward to staying there again soon. Many thanks to Sabala Heritage Home for all the warmth and care. Being a solo traveller it turned out to be the best and safe choice.
