Villefranche Sur Mer One Bed

Fantastic location with gorgeous views over rooftops to the Mediterranean. Really lovely original mid-century furniture. Terrific bathroom and kitchen. It was extremely hot and the opening windows and excellent air conditioning were really appreciated. Wonderful location for the waterfront, little convenience store, pharmacist, and many cafes, restaurants and points of interest.

The bedroom furnishings are good quality and carefully thought through but rather dark and unwelcoming for my taste. Great bed though! Because it is in the old town, accest from the closest car stop is steep and involves many steps, as does access to the apartment. Some guests might find this difficult. Luckily I had a driver who helped and knew how to reach the building.

The property is in a great location and was very clean. The air conditioning worked well, which made the stay comfortable, especially during the hot summer weather.

Overall, the stay was okay, but there were several things that could be improved. There were only two towels provided for the entire stay, with no hand towels or extra towels available. There was also no hand soap or shower gel supplied. I had provided the host with my arrival and departure details in advance, yet I received WhatsApp messages every day asking when I would be checking out. On the last evening of my stay, I was again asked for my checkout time. I replied that I would leave between 9:30 and 10:00 a.m., but the host responded, “Could you please give me a specific time? I cannot wait half an hour for you to leave, as I have other departures scheduled for the morning.” I found this response rude and unprofessional, especially after keeping the host informed throughout my stay. It would also have been much more convenient if there had been a lockbox for key return instead of requiring a coordinated handoff.

It was a lovely property. So so clean and enough toilet paper for the whole week(sounds petty but we didn’t have to run out to the store). A little walk up from the train station … 9 minutes .. but not bad.

Great location with a view over the roofs to the bay & Cap Ferrat. Well equipped kitchen. Washer/dryer. Great shower & good sized bathroom. Comfy bed. Quiet area in the heart of Villefranche. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return. Helene met us at the property and also when we left.
