Fine for our two night stay.

Proximity to town was good.

Could have done with a tea towel. Need a shelf in the bathroom and really didn’t like no toilet seat lid. We found sweets under the bed, so hadn’t been cleaned under there.

Perfect for 2 people

Everything that you'd need for a night cooker, outdoor space and bathroom

It was very very hot due to the weather had almost caused a greenhouse effect. Although there was a fan inside there wasn't much air as the garden is within high walls meaning no breeze was coming in and the door opened onto the main road so wasn't suitable to keep open.

Visit to family in Newport

Convenience and cleanliness I suppose. It was all good to go on arrival. My use of the apartment was pretty minimal, but what I did use was good enough and suited my needs very well. If I need to stay again, then I can see that it has all the facilities required to cook and enjoy a decent meal.

Bit noisy out on the street, it was a bit of a racetrack at times. Not a lot the owner can do about that. I would personally like a plug in the bathroom for shaving purposes.

Excellent for base if you’re visiting South Wales.

Very clean. All very new. Plates, cutlery and cooking pans etc. beds very comfortable. Shower was good. No complaints at all. Parking readily available in the streets nearby. We stayed there as we we went to Newport County which was only a short walk away. The city centre was about a 20 minute back across the bridge.

Perfect girly weekend accommodation

The place was perfect inside, is alot bigger than it looks from outside. It had everything we needed, the place was very clean, tidy and felt homely. The owners went above and beyond to ensure that we were happy and comfortable. Such a lovely little hidden gem. Very glad we found this place.

We didn't have access to a garden area but this wasn't an issue as didn't need too, so this wasn't a problem at all so no complaints but pictures show a garden that's all.

Superb

Excellent communication from owner. Flat spotlessly clean & had everything we needed. Well thought out layout & creative use of space made the flat seem bigger than it was. Access easy. We found parking easy with space available on both Rugby Street just across from the entrance to the flat and also round the corner on Kingstone Street. Great value for money. Would book again.

Cosiness. Full kitchen. Clean bathroom. Cleanliness in flat overall. Parking right outside. Responsiveness of host. It's a little hidden gem, perfect for a solo traveller. It's one room, so may not necessarily be as comfortable for more people. Very popular place this is but will be staying again if I get a chance! Thanks can't recommend enough

The apartment met and exceeded my expectations. It looked just as good as in the pictures.

I love how neatly arranged the place was. The host made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. And of course, it was close to the Newport bus centre, this made for easy commuting.

ICEBOX - maybe OK for Summer.

Heating in this converted detached garage in the garden of the property was subject to a heating schedule from the main house that was not controllable in the unit. Although it was set throughout to the maximum temperature on the electronic thermostatic radiator valve, the radiator's temperature never exceeded lukewarm, which was inadequate to heat the room during a cold night possibly due to the distance from the furnace in the main house. When we returned from an event in the late evening, the room was still bitterly cold. It was so cold that we had to sleep fully clothed under duvets and an additional blanket provided by the owners, even then, it was not enough and the experience was most unpleasant. I started to try and use the gas oven to provide heat to the room but on checking, I decided not to as there wasn't a Carbon Monoxide alarm in the room (only a Smoke Alarm was found). An electric fan heater was located on the bathroom wall, but this was not working. The floor was always cold, very cold, with thermal bridging noticeable from the slab outside. (Night temperatures dropped to below 0°c) Insulation seemed to be missing. Loose rugs on the floor were curling in the corners and could easily trip somebody in low light conditions.

Unbearably cold.

There was little to like in the property.

We booked this property for 2 nights. Unbelievably cold inside and the small wall mounted fire did not heat the space up. The proprietor brought in another small heater but even with both on continually it was unbearably cold. We slept with our coats on the bed to keep warm. There were no bottom sheets on the beds, just mattress protectors. The electrics didn't look safe. There was no parking, just on street parking, which isn't quite what we were lead to believe. The studio appeared to be a converted garage, which had little or no insulation for warmth. It was so bad we weren't able to stay the second night. We booked into a hotel, just to be warm.
