Villa Lucia

We (two adults aged 55+ with a dog) spent a wonderful three-week summer vacation at Villa Lucia and would like to thank our host Fabio for his hospitality and helpfulness in every way! The villa matches the descriptions/pictures in every way and even exceeds them: fully equipped house with a great and exceptional outdoor area, lots of space, hardly/not visible, fully equipped barbecue area, and every Saturday the lawn is mowed and the pool and the entire outdoor area are cleaned. We would particularly like to mention the fully equipped kitchen. There is plenty of crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, plastic containers, a gas stove, a full oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a new fridge/freezer, coffee machines (filter coffee, Nespresso, milk frother), hot air fryer, cordless vacuum cleaner, etc. Everything is there, right down to the stopper for opened bottles of Prosecco. If you have any questions or problems, Fabio is available to respond immediately and resolve them right away. We have never experienced anything like this in any of our previous vacations in similar vacation homes/villas. Once again, kudos and thanks to Fabio! Food, drinks, and everything else you need in a vacation home can be found at the well-stocked and nearby Eurospar Pigno market, for example. The sandy beaches around Santa Maria di Leuca are also easily accessible by car or bicycle, can be used free of charge, and are definitely worth a visit! Parking and renting sun loungers and parasols costs a few euros, but this is nothing new or unusual. If you want to spend a quiet and relaxing summer vacation in Italy in a great setting and don't mind the journey, this is the place for you.

The property is in an amazing tranquil location, steps from the rocky wonderful coast. The pool is great and the outside furniture comfortable. Lots of outside space. Inside the beds are comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Amazing sunsets. Communication with the owner was also excellent.

For the type of property and the cost involved, it seemed odd not to be provided with even the most basic cleaning tools or products, and to have to request and pay extra for bed sheets and towels. A bit like renting a Ferrari and having to go put your own engine oil and coolant in it. In my opinion these small things should all be included to make it easy and flawless for the guests.

Everything was Excellent, and I was overwhelmed with how beautiful this charming little villa is. Clean, tidy, kitchen well stocked with utensils and gadgets, air con worked perfectly, rooms were spacious, I can not recommend this place enough, you get exactly what you see on the pictures. And Fabio thank you so much for you very warm welcome and we hope to comeback very soon.

The hot water was the only thing that let it down as it ran off solar panels but once we figured out that you need to switch on the mains electric water heater well in advance 2-3 hrs which Fabio did mention but not how long it took.
