A charming house with a hedged garden set amidst endless lovingly-tended farmland, less than a mile from rugged-rocky beaches – what could go wrong? Sadly, enough to leave a bitter taste after what should have been a dream vacation. Although superficially charming and apparently well-appointed, the property was better optimized for appearance than for convenience. The coffee maker stubbornly refused to function; we bought our own. The beds were uncomfortable. There wasn’t a dustpan. No instructions for anything. These and similar shortcomings pale in comparison to the harsh and insulting manner of the landlord when we sought assistance with appliances or informed him of an accident with one of the sun umbrellas, a worn and well-used item that was open when we arrived but later knocked over by a sudden sharp gust of wind. For our questions about the appliances, we received an explanation of why we were stupid; for the wind damage we received a charge of more than $500 and several nasty emails sent by him through VRBO. He actually accused us, we who reside in the US, of stealing his five year old Starbucks mugs —after we paid him over $2,000 for two weeks rental. In short stay here if you can balance no help and potential nastiness for a large house with many hydrangeas. I’d find somewhere else.

We stayed here for 2 weeks in August, family of 5. Plenty of room in the house which was spacious and well layed out with lovely gardens and patio. Extremely well catered food with all the kitchen utensils you could wish for. Iovely picturesque area of Brittany wirh quiet long sandy beaches and lots of opportunity for rock pooling. Great markets near by and plenty of nice walks to go on. Easy journey from Roscoff by car. Fantastic welcome from the owner Roland who provided lots if infornation about the local area. Thankyou for a lovely stay!

La maison correspondait à notre attente : calme, confort, super équipée,dans un environnement bucolique et un magnifique jardin. L'accueil chaleureux de nôtre hôte nous a fait très plaisir. La région de Guissény est très belle et nous avons découvert de beaux sites naturels sur la côte finistérienne.

Ein wunderbares Ferienhaus mit einer grossen Terrasse und seinem bezaubernden Garten, in der Nähe von traumhaften Stränden. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist sehr großzügig. Ein edles helles Wohnzimmer, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, mit einem tollen Kamin, einem übergroßen TV und absolut gemütlichen Sofas zum Kuscheln. Die Küche ist großzügig ausgestattet, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Der direkte Zugang zur Terrasse ist perfekt. Im 1. Stock sind die liebevoll eingerichteten Schlafzimmer, alle zur Terrasse ausgerichtet, sehr ruhig und mit großen Fenstern für ausreichend Frischluft. Die Betten sind hervorragend, wir haben super geschlafen! Tolle Bettwäsche und weiche Handtücher in ausreichender Menge standen uns zur Verfügung. Das Badezimmer hat eine angenehme Größe mit ausreichend Platz und einer großen Dusche. Die Begrüßung durch unseren Vermieter war außergewöhnlich! Einen bretonisches Champagner zum Empfang und diese Herzlichkeit zur Begrüßung hatten wir so nicht erwartet, aber sehr genossen! Vielen lieben Dank Roland - wir kommen ganz sicher wieder in dieses wunderschöne bretonisches Ferienhaus. Besonders bedanken möchten wir uns noch, dass wir die Möglichkeit hatten, den Zeitraum unserer Reise, in diesen schwierigen Zeiten , so zu schieben, dass diese fraumhaften Ferien überhaupt möglich waren. Das ist nicht selbstverständlich! Un grand merci Roland

un accueil chaleureux par le propriétaire (champagne breton offert), une très belle demeure, jardin avec des hortensias magnifiques. une maison spacieuse, équipée comme chez soi, rien ne manquait. Emplacement idéal pour découvrir la bretagne nord : côte des légendes, des criques le long du sentier côtier avec des plages de simples fins, de beaux villages bretons, on y vient et on y revient . Wir haben mit zwei Erwachsenen und zwei Kindern zwei erholsame Wochen an diesem schönen Ort verbracht. Der Empfang durch den Besitzer Monsieur Castel war überwältigend. Wir haben noch nie so einen herzlichen Empfang erlebt! Monsieur Castel ist sehr zuvorkommend und kümmert sich um alle Belange bzw. Probleme der Gäste sofort. Das große Haus ist sehr gemütlich und stilvoll mit alten Möbeln eingerichtet, man hat alles, was man für den täglichen Gebrauch benötigt. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Der Garten ist ein absoluter Traum, hier kann man bei absoluter Ruhe wunderbar in der Sonne ausspannen. Die Strände sind allesamt wunderschön und nicht überlaufen, es gibt viele tolle, kleine Badebuchten. Sehr zu empfehlen! Wir werden noch mal wiederkommen! Vielen Dank noch mal an Monsieur Castel! Nous avons passé nos vacances avec deux adultes et deux enfants à ce bel endroit. L’accueil de Monsieur Castel était très chaleureux et magnifique. C’est vraiment quelque chose! La maison est grande et meublée très confortable. Il y a tout qu’on a besoin pour y vivre. Le jardin est superbe pour se reposer. Les plages à Guissény et Vougo sont très belles. Si on a un problème, Monsieur Castel s’occupe tout de suite. Nous reviendrons un jour! Merci beaucoup à Monsieur Castel!

L accueil du propriétaire est très chaleureux. Le jardin superbement fleuri,la maison conforme à la description. Villégiature convenant parfaitement pour des personnes aimant le calme. Trop beau pour de jeunes enfants un peu sauvages. Toutefois il y a le matériel pour un petit enfant. Nous sommes enchantés d y avoir été. (Couple de 65 ans)

Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable dans cette grande maison confortable, au calme, avec son jardin magnifiquement fleuri. L’accueil de M Castel est enjoué et attentif. La région est belle, il vaut mieux avoir une voiture (ou des vélos) pour la visiter car la maison est un peu en dehors du village.

Il est très bien tenu avec tout le confort dont on dispose chez soi. Il y a beaucoup d'espace que ce soit à l'intérieur avec de grandes pièces ou à l'extérieur avec un grand jardin très fleuri à la belle saison. Un peu à l'écart du bourg de Guisseny et des voies de communications il est au calme. La mer et les plages sont proches mais il vaut mieux utiliser une voiture pour s'y rendre. Enfin, le prix est raisonnable car tout est compris dans le montant du loyer : draps, serviettes, eau, électricité et ménage en fin de séjour.

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful place. The welcome by the owner was the best we have ever had! The house has everything you need and the garden, with all its flowers and its gigantic size, is a big plus as well. The beaches in the area are very pretty and quiet. We have rented a bike for a day and made an amazing tour. We would definitely recommend this place.

Excellent accueil du propriétaire. Prestation de très bonne qualité, calme et détente assurée, location très bien située pour découvrir la région (en voiture). Par contre la plage la plus proche est à 15/20 minutes à pied ce qui a été le seul petit bémol pour notre famille avec la mamie. Si non excellent séjour dans ce très jolie cadre fleuri. Nous recommandons sans pb cette location.

Grande maison très bien équipée, à proximité de la mer. Grande terrasse orientée au sud et donc toujours au soleil. Propreté remarquable. Très bonne literie. Bien située pour visiter Brest (Océanopolis) et toute la côte depuis la presqu'île de Crozon jusqu'à Perros-Guirec. Très belles plages de sable fin à proximité (baignade, promenades, char à voile). Propriétaire très attentionné : beaucoup de conseils touristiques. Accueil très sympathique avec pot de l'amitié et nombreux bouquets de fleurs fraiches ! Très beau téléviseur, chaine hi-fi, lecteur DVD Voiture indispensable (excentré par rapport au village, mais localisé facilement par le GPS). Pas de Wi-Fi, réseau téléphonique faible dans la location. A recommander pour l'accueil, le calme, la propreté.

Très bien située pour visiter la région. A noter, l''accueil exceptionnel qui nous a été réservé et la gentillesse au moment du départ. Nous avons donc passé un excellent séjour avec nos trois jeunes enfants. Bref, un bel endroit que nous recommandons."

"Nous revenons enchantés de notre séjour de 2 semaines passé dans cette belle demeure de charme très agréable, confortable et fleurie à 5 minutes de la très jolie plage du vougot aux eaux turquoise et émeraude. Propriétaire charmant : accueil très chaleureux, fleuri et gourmand : un vrai plaisir, merci à Roland ! Maison idéalement située pour rayonner de Brest à Roscoff. Adresse que nous recommandons vivement ! A noter un vrai plus qui permet de profiter du séjour de la 1ère à la dernière minute : les lits sont fait à l’arrivée et le ménage final est inclus.
