The location was great and central. I also enjoyed the balcony view and the pool area. The cleaning was good (apart from plates/glasses), new towels were given every day. Fast and stable internet. Check-in (with code) worked flawlessly.
There was some noise from the traffic but i could still sleep well. Also, some of the plates and glasses were dirty and stained when I checked in.

A well appointed room, relatively spacious and very clean. The apartment was located midway between the tourist area and central Funchal so is ideal if you want to avoid the central hotel and touristy area.
I had to call the manager repeatedly to get the door code. The room did have a sea view but was at a similar height to the pool. People using the pool could effectively look straight into the room. Given the cost of accommodation this should have been made explicit that the room was note as private as others might be. Unfortunately when we explained this to the management and asked to be moved we were told all rooms were taken and we therefore could not be moved.

There was a problem with the hot water, the owners said they are aware and are waiting for the parts to repair. However, nothing was done during our stay and we could use only lukewarm water in the afternoon that was heated by the sun in December.
