Crooked House Alfama

Excellent location in the heart of Alfama. Tidy and clean and adequate space for 2. Kitchen in the small side but we are out so it didn't matter. Lots of restaurants within easy walk and a mini mart right across the street. We particularly enjoyed the 2 meals we had at Brunch & Bites right at the bottom of the street.

The apartment is on a restricted one-way street so bolt and Uber can't pick up or drop off there which isn't terrible, just slightly inconvenient. Limited hot water made showers quick. The stairway is very dark and the first few days of our stay some of the lights were out. Once replaced, it felt much safer and easier on the stairs. None of there's are deal breakers, just observations. All that being said, we did enjoy our stay there.

Die Wohnung liegt zentral in der Altstadt von Alfama in der Nähe vom Fado Museum. Der nächste Bahnhof ist nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt. Es gibt zahlreiche gute Cafés, Bars und Restaurants in der Nähe. Trotzdem war es zu unserer Zeit Ende März tagsüber und nachts recht ruhig auf der Straße. Die beiden Radiatoren reichten aus um die Wohnung abends auf angenehme Temperatur zu bringen. Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und ermöglichte uns vor dem offiziellen Einchecken unser Gepäck in die Wohnung zu bringen.

Nichts, alles Bestens. Zu beachten ist, das Haus liegt an einer recht steilen Straße mit beschränktem Zugang. Sofern man nicht mit offiziellem Taxi anreist muss man gegebenfalls sein Gepäck etwa hundertfünfzig Meter bergauf zur Wohnung transportieren. Die über Booking.com gebuchte Fahrerin war so nett uns zu Fuß mit dem Gepäck bis zur Haustür zu helfen.

Excellent location in the historic and charming Alfama, just a 15-minute walk from the vibrant Commerce Square.

Rafaela was a wonderful host, her apartment is centrally located and so convenient for reaching all the sights we wanted in Lisbon! Although the neighborhood is hilly, as is everything in Lisbon, we were able to walk to almost every place we wanted to go and public transportation was easily accessible in case we felt the need for it. Quiet at night, with a comfortable bed and living space, we truly felt at home here and would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay! She made sure we knew we were well taken care of, both through her care and the thoughtful notes and touches in her home.
