The property was fine--a cute bungalow in a neighborhood that felt safe and was walking distance to Duke hospital. It was clean and well-stocked, and once we got check-in info, easy to check in. The only problem is that the hosts absolutely REFUSE to use the VRBO site to communicate, even after multiple requests. We were on a multi-week road trip with limited text connectivity, and their emails got buried in a junk folder, so we had some anxiety over whether we would be able to check in. If the hosts had followed VRBO's rule to only communicate via the VRBO app, this would be a perfect review.

Loved this little house!!! In town for a Duke Graduation location was perfect!!! Large three bed well stocked with everything you needed except food!!! Love the back porch for morning coffee!! Easy communication also!!

We stayed 1 week and it was a very clean and comfortable house. All the necessities were provided and all the couches and bed were very comfortable. The location itself is great since it’s near Duke Gardens, Duke campus and a lot of restaurants nearby. When we arrived, the neighborhood itself didn’t look as nice as we expected, but we never felt unsafe. The host let us check in early which was great. We would definitely recommend this place and will return next time we need a rental in Durham.
The only minor inconvenience was that there was only 1 mirror in the whole house and that was in the bathroom. With 3 females (2 were late teenagers), getting ready was a bit of a challenge :)
