This is definitely a secret gem in Ubud. It is just outside of Ubud, so it is much quieter. The staff were so helpful and friendly. It really made our stay memorable. It is only a small vila with 3 rooms. Breakfast was included and was always delicious. There are Balinese as well as Western choices. There are several restaurants and warungs within a 10 minute walk from the Villa as well as several convenience stores and ATMs. The room was comfortable and very clean. If you are visiting Ubud for a short or long stay I highly recommend Angel House!

Angel House was really fantastic. Close to Ubud but out of the chaos. Lovely furnishings with Balinese art and woodwork.
It is located close to the little village of Mas with art galleries and there is a wonderful walk through rice fields with fab Indonesian restaurants. Thanks so much to Kadek and Veema for wonderful hospitality.

We loved this option because of the location in the town of MAS which is a much more authentic Bali option than the hassle of UBUD. Around the area are many wood carvers - so you can find a lot of amazing antiques, masks, etc. We had a MANGKU (local holy man) we visited that lived near there. There is also an INCREDIBLE restaurant across the street called TonyRaka which had really authentic and healthy Indonesian food - we ate there every day. Plus the location is Eco - it doesn't use chemical pesticides - which at the last place I stayed - they used it and it made me feel very foggy - so it was amazing to see how truly Eco this location was. Great breakfast, they also can arrange a massage for you.

A+ to the staff. Vinna and Kadek are like having family around. They took excellent care of us. They cooked a fantastic breakfast every morning especially the homemade sourdough bread and jam. Helped arrange transportation around Ubud and was just generally there for us when needed. The room was very nice, but was a little disappointed there was no TV. A/C worked like a charm. Outside area was full of beautiful flowers/plants. I'd definitely recommend it!!
