    The people to be blamed are AGODA. They don’t review a property and recommend. There is no staff. The owner is the only person who is attending to the guests. He is very rude and unwelcoming. There is no lift and not even an intercom as basics. The owner told me that he doesn’t charge as much as we paid. It is only AGODA that makes the money. Except for the location, there is nothing good about the property. It dilapidated and needs to be refurbished urgently. Please don’t trust AGODA

    Wir waren am Seaside Festival in Spiez und haben im Jägerhof Hubertus übernachtet. Sehr schön gelegen. Einfach aber gemütliche Zimmer. Tolles Frühstück bei Sonnenschein im Garten mit Seeblick. Würden wieder kommen.

    It’s filthy and the owner is v arrogant and will take advantage of you in very possible way. One word. Avoid this place. It’s a one man show and he is extremely rude. Will try to charge money at every opportunity by this old Soviet owner who is the only one in the hotel. Rooms are filthy dirty and washrooms don’t work. Location is good but the price you pay you can stay nearby and come on the lake. So don’t be fooled by just the location. His charges are same as any other 3-4* hotel. We were told of a bed and charged for it but never provided any bed and charges for child even though there was no separate bed provided. Breakfast is v avg with just 2 bread choices and some coffee.

    Unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant experience at this hotel, mainly because of the owner’s attitude and lack of customer service. Check-in was after 3:00 PM. My girlfriend and I arrived around 1:00 PM after traveling for hours, so we had to wait until the office opened. Since we had all of our luggage with us and there was nobody available at the hotel, we decided to go swimming in the lake while we waited. As soon as 3:00 PM arrived, I went back to check in because we were exhausted and ready to get to our room. I was still wearing my swimming clothes and did not have a shirt on. The owner looked at me rudely and asked where my shirt was. I explained politely that I had been swimming while waiting for the office to open and immediately said I would go get a shirt. Instead of simply explaining the hotel’s policy, he started yelling at me in his language and appeared to insult me. He then demanded that I also bring my passport, again speaking to me aggressively. I asked him not to be rude, but he continued. What bothered me most was that he never apologized afterward and simply acted as though nothing had happened. The next day, I asked for fresh towels and was initially told no because they are changed every three days. He eventually agreed to give us fresh towels, but again with a very unpleasant attitude. The hotel itself is nice, but unfortunately the owner’s behavior completely ruined our experience. Customer service is extremely important, and we did not feel welcomed or respected here. Also, be aware that the hotel’s photos can give the impression that it is directly on the lake with its own private beach. That is not how we experienced it—you have to cross the street to access the public beach. Overall, I do not recommend staying here. I would book somewhere else.
