It’s one of the most beautiful resorts in Vattakanal. The room was really clean and spacious. The impressive interiors deserve a special mention. The view from the room is just magnificent. A big thanks to the F&B staffs for making our Anniversary, a memorable one . We loved the elegant table decoration. Really delicious breakfast and dinner. Overall a great property have a relaxing vacation. Thanks also to Mr. Peer for organizing sight seeing. The staffs deserve a special mention as well, extremely friendly and courteous staffs. Would definitely book again.

Honestly didn't expect this place to be THIS good. We drove down from Bangalore for a long weekend and Dolphin Nose Retreat ended up being the highlight of the whole trip. The location is just unreal — you literally wake up to clouds floating past your window and the valley views are something else. We spent most mornings just sitting outside with chai because we couldn't get over how pretty it was. The in-house restaurant was a lifesaver since Vattakanal doesn't have too many food options nearby. Food was simple but really tasty — their parathas and the chicken curry got us through the trip. Service was a bit slow at times (give them 30-40 mins) but the staff are super sweet so we didn't mind. The private bonfire in the evening was honestly the best part. They set it up for just our group, gave us some snacks, and we ended up sitting there till past midnight chatting. Felt very personal, not touristy at all. Dolphin's Nose viewpoint is a short walk away, and Kodaikanal town is about 20 mins by car if you want to do the lake, Coaker's Walk, and Bryant Park. Pillar Rocks and Guna Caves are also doable as a half-day trip.

Only small heads up — the road in is a bit rough and network is patchy. But honestly that's part of the charm. Will definitely come back.

Dolphin Nose Retreat in Kodaikanal turned out to be a hidden gem that far exceeded the family’s expectations. What was planned as a standard two-night hill-station stay quickly became one they wished they had extended to three. The private balcony offered breathtaking layered valley views, becoming the undisputed highlight where the family spent long, peaceful moments watching the mist and changing light. Breakfast impressed with its fresh, authentic South Indian buffet, especially the soft idlis, flavorful sambar, and pongal that even their picky daughter enjoyed. An unexpected air hockey table provided hours of fun for the kids and was possibly the only one in town. Secure, sheltered on-site parking gave complete peace of mind after the long drive from Chennai, adding to the overall satisfaction with the warm staff, great views, and entertaining stay.

I don’t think if anything to be mentioned, as we are fully satisfied.

Dolphin Nose Retreat's location was simply ideal for our weekend getaway. Being so close to local attractions, and having the incredibly helpful staff offer such wonderful recommendations, truly enriched our exploration of the area. A beautifully convenient location can genuinely transform your entire travel experience.
