La Vitagira

The best part about this apartment is the location. It's right in old town and you can get anywhere you need on foot. The host was also very responsive and accommodating. The AC also worked very well and it was a pretty good size apartment.

While the location of the apartment was great, because it is right in old town it was very loud. There is hardly any insulation on the doors or windows. You heard groups of people at all hours of the night and a very annoying neighborhood dog that roamed the streets barking at people. The lighting in both the bathroom and kitchen were pretty bad. It was so dark in the kitchen it was hard to cook & only two burners worked. The wifi also was not great. It went in and out a lot. The second bedroom also did not have AC or anywhere to store clothes.

The location was very good and it is a very nice old building in the historic center. Comfortable bed.

There was a weird vinegar smell when I first arrived. The air was stuffy and I assumed mold. I asked if it would be possible to change rooms and the owner said no and opened a tiny window and put on the fan instead. The stay was okay, but there was a putrid sewage smell coming from the main bathroom. The espresso machine made cold weak espresso which was not the best day to start the day. Also, it was very loud being right on the street. If you want natural light to come into the room, there is only one glass door, so people can walk by and look into tour place. Some even waved, which felt very invasive. Alternately, if you want privacy, pull the drapes and it’s a dark and stuffy basement cave.
