About this cottage rental
Beautiful independent house directly on the sea in Pomonte, small village on the western coast "Costa del Sole" of Elba Island, Italy.
Big shadowed terrace pieds dans l'eau. 50 sq living room with a queen size sofa bed (new 2023) and kitchen (fully equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, oven, big fridge+freezer). Two bathrooms; one queen size bedroom and a loft with a queen size sofa bed (new 2023). House completely renovated in 2022. Private parking. Special discounts for long stays. Blue Navy ferry discount code available.
Besides the house there's one of the village beaches. Round 50 m. from it lies a hulk of a merchant ship dipped in the seventies and almost surfacing, that's obviously a destination of either professional or amateurs divers
Pomonte is between impressive sea cliffs and cute little inlets, surrounded by luxuriant Mediterranean scrub, on the slopes of the highest mountain of the island, Mount Capanne. Either for expert trekkers or for nature lovers, it's possible to have great long walks, either on cliff paths along the cost or going to the inland, towards the mountains. From Pomonte start a lot of different paths, perfectly signposted, leading to the top of the mountains.

We had an excellent stay right on the water. The location is exceptional. We were able to enjoy the sunset over Cap Corse every evening. The village of Pomonte is very picturesque. It is the starting point for hiking trails with exceptional views. The village also offers all amenities, shopping facilities and infrastructures.

The house is very nicely located directly on the beach.
Restaurants and stores are within walking distance.
Modern, well equipped kitchen.
Good WLAN.
Old walls and old chests / pictures convey historical flair.
Terrace shaded by trees.

Very fine and perfect equiped house. Had 2 great weaks there. Beach with perfectly cleat water but nicer ones wirhin 15 min. drive.

Das Haus ist sehr robust und rustikal eingerichtet, die Lage direkt am Meer ruhig und sehr privat. Leider ist es wegen der vielen Tamariskenbäume sehr schattig und im Oktober nicht sehr günstig, wir konnten trotz schönem Wetter die Terrasse kaum geniessen. Vielleicht müsste man die Bäume einmal grosszügig zurückschneiden? In stürmischen Nächten schlugen die Äste dauernd gegen das Dach.
Die Einrichtung dürfte für diesen Preis etwas besser sein (Dusche, Kaffeemaschine, Duvets etc.).
