Nice house with private garden, cosy.

It was a bit annoying to pay extra 30euros for 3 days stay, for linen and towels, so we carried our own. This is not a youth hostel. Also, there were literally no standard utilities for the welcome, such as at least a roll of toilet paper, sponge for the dishes or a bit of salt.. Some basic stuff for the beginning of your stay should be provided.

House is big enough. Quite area. Huge garden. Fully equipped kitchen and good bathroom. Comfortable bed, enough space to store your luggage. Close to Marina di Campo, ~12-15 mins by foot. Bus stop nearby. Good nice terrace. All you need is within walking distance if you're OK to walk for more than 10 minutes. Parking area in front of the house. Will definitely like to stay here again and ready to recommend the properly to others. Got a bargain for such a price (most probably, due to a low season). Not sure that I'm ready to stay here for a "real" high-season price, but what I get it for is almost nothing. Marina di Campo itself (as well as Elba) is a paradise. One of my best trips to Italy ever.

No wifi. Take that into account. No way to work remotely from here completely. But it is clearly stated in the house rules, so no complains, I was ready for that. You deal not with an owner directly but through a travel agency. You have to: wait for them to pick up your keys (we stayed for 1 hour in front of the door doing many calls that were not answered), come to their office to leave a deposit, come to the office to get the deposit back and so on. The same for payment: instead of paying through booking directly, you need to process a transfer through external system (all communication in Italian). Not that easy as expected through booking.com. Extra payments for final cleaning and bed linen. It was stated in the house rules, but what's the problem to include everything in the total price at the very beginning? Why we need to split it? I'm OK to pay, but don't like the overall complicated process. On a 2nd day cleaning lady came in the morning and said that we have to leave now as in 1 hour new people will come. It was a mistake on their side but I wasn't happy as we had 2 more days to stay here. Lots of the flies inside the apartment. Did hunting every evening with tens of victims every time :) Take sticky tape for flies with you, we didn't find them in any shop around, only against mosquitos.
