Had a wonderful stay here! The property is located just about 50 meters from the Pitadeniya entrance of the Sinharaja Rainforest, making it a perfect base for exploring the area. The surroundings are peaceful and relaxing, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the food was delicious. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, a great place with excellent hospitality.
The road leading to the property is not in the best condition, but the hosts conveniently offer a cab service. The bathroom sink tap was not working properly, there were some ants coming from the shower area, and the bathroom could have been cleaner.

Staff were lovely, responsive and helpful. Quick to respond to requests for the room and for food. Location was perfect for a forest hike; you wouldn't even need to book a guide before coming. Pool was alright and restaurant / bar was nice.
It would be better to have a kettle in the room with cups for tea/coffee and a blanket on the bed. If the curtains could completely close with hooks or pins that would also be better for privacy.

Sinharaja Forest Edge is a peaceful and beautiful eco-stay right next to the rainforest, offering stunning nature views and easy access to jungle tours. The rooms are simple but comfortable, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the Sri Lankan food is generally tasty. Guided forest tours are a highlight, with knowledgeable guides and amazing wildlife experiences. The experience is relaxing, authentic, and perfect for nature lovers.
