Hotel Jungfrau

The Hotel is perfectly located on the slope (just nearby the arrival of the cable car) with a fantastic view over the mountains. We had an excellent dinner during our stay. Breakfast is super with great choice and local food. Also the personnel has been very gentle and helpful. Would definitively recommend Hotel Jungfrau and we will come back for our next stay

The beds and furniture in the room could probably be improved / renovated but overall the hotel has a good value-for-money

Best hotel we stayed so far in Switzerland, very clean, amazing hosts, great food and view from the balcony! Will definitely return! P.S. As bonus they also had a house dog!

We originally were going to hike up to Eggshorn and just view the Aletsch Glacier from above, but it was white out cloudy and rainy the afternoon we arrived. So a fellow guest said that they were going to actually hike ON the glacier the next morning and we were lucky to join them. One of the hotel's owner, Marcel, leads hikes regulary on the Aletsch Glacier and knows it well, an expert skier who grew up in the area. If you hike regularly and are fit (high altitude, several miles of hiking to and from glacier edge as well as being able to leap over crevasses wearing crampons) it is a not to be missed opportunity! Our small group were the only ones on this UNESCO World Heritage area and it was fantastic. Room was basic but comfortable, nicer than the photos. Bathroom stylishly newly remodeled. Breakfast was generous and wonderful, especially the homemade jams...the pistachio one! Many choices of fresh baked breads, cheeses, meats, fruit, yogurt, etc. and freshly cooked egg dish that varies each day.

There is no hot water kettle in the room, it would be nice to have one in lobby, before breakfast begins. Unfortunately the pizza oven doesn't operate in the summer. After 3 weeks in Switzerland, this was one of our favorites stays because there was no over tourism in tiny Fierscheralp and therefore no over crowding like other more well known and travelled areas. It was also very reasonably compared to the cost of accommodations in the more famous towns.

Staff was not very friendly reception hours very limited. You can reach the hotel only with cable car and this is not very clearly mentioned in the hotel description Mattress and pillow were not comfortable
