Gîte Chez Doumé

Wat een prachtig huis! Alles aanwezig, heerlijke tuin en fijne sfeer. Tip Het was uitzonderlijk warm en we waren blij dat we ventilatoren mee hadden genomen. Maar nog fijner was een bezoek aan de grotten van Han toen het buiten 36 graden was.

Eigenlijk niks. Alles was gewoon goed. Wel een tip: leg "iets" klaar in de accommodatie waarop staat wat er van gasten verwacht wordt. Bv: waar laat je het afval, hoe schoon moet het huis achtergelaten worden etc.

The house is beautiful, spacious and clean. The double rooms all have en suite shower and sink facilities, but no toilets. There are two separate toilets, one on the ground level the other on the top floor. We loved the outdoor space and tranquility. Location was perfect, just 3 minutes to walk into the centre of Houffalize, which is equally as beautiful. We did not use the lounge much, but again it was spacious with a L shaped sofa, TV, pool table and dart board. A lot of thought has gone into this house, all of which was appreciated. The kitchen/dining area is huge. Although we were only a group of five friends, so used all the bedrooms, the house would easily accommodate double that number and not feel cramped. The weather was hot, so we were lucky, but we did not make full use of the sauna/hot tub. The owner, Marie, communicated exceptionally, was nearby and always available. I will definitely consider staying again, when in the area.

There is nothing to dislike. I have absolutely no complaints. The only comment I have is the description of rooms could be altered a little as in its current form gives the impression all rooms have en suite toilet facilities, which they don’t. It is perhaps my misunderstanding.

Sehr schönes Haus mit einer tollen Raumaufteilung für eine Großfamilie. Das Grundstück ist idyllisch, trotzdem ist man zu Fuß in wenigen Minuten im Zentrum und beim Supermarkt. Der Ausblick auf den Fluss Ourthe vom Esszimmer aus ist ein Traum und hat auch zu einer entspannten Zeit beigetragen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
