About this house rental


House with 280m2 of living space

Included in the rental price :
- utilities (water - oil - electricity)
- sheets: beds are made up on arrival
- Organic household products are provided, as are kitchen cloths and towels.
- dishwasher tablets
- bin bags: green, PMC and all-purpose
- a little bit to get you started: toilet paper, kitchen towels, Nespresso capsules, coffee and charcoal.

Possibility of hiring towels: bath towel - hand towel - face towel and flannel for €5/person/stay. house :
ground floor: dining room with seating for 14 - fully equipped kitchen - living room - TV area - study with sofa bed - guest toilet - hall.
1st floor: one bedroom with a double bed - one bedroom with two single beds - one bedroom with two single beds and a cot - one bedroom with two single beds and a pull-out bed - two bathrooms with shower and toilet.
2nd floor: a large attic with a library (books of all ages and different languages), table tennis, sitting area, kicker, pool table and games table etc.
The house is situated in a quiet location, surrounded by a garden with a swing and slide, a children's tree house, a small picnic table, an outdoor barbecue made of local stone and, of course, garden furniture. The garden is not enclosed.
In the surrounding area, there are many beautiful walks and, for nature lovers, you may see beavers, game and, in autumn, hear deer bellowing.
Between 20 and 30 km, there are numerous tourist sites, including reminders of the Battle of the Bulge, a fortified castle, animal parks, and one or more ancient and historic churches,....

Good weather wasn't at the rendez-vous, but we still had a pleasant long weekend in Chabrehez. The house is old, but impeccably clean. We appreciated the nice touch of the aperitif waiting for us, and the host’s flexibility on departure time! We took full advantage of the ping-pong table and darts during the rainy evenings (wearing winter coats because the attic isn’t insulated). With places like Bastongne, Houffalize, Achouffe, Remouchamps and Lac de Nisramont in easy driving reach, the house is a good base for exploration. I only wish there was a boulangerie/épicierie within walking distance! My one request would be to remove “linens included” from the listing—because they actually require a payment on top of the rental fee. I was also surprised to learn that utilities (water, heat, electricity) also cost extra—this isn’t something we’ve encountered in any of our other house rentals.
