DELANY VILLAS BRIGHT - Spa luxury on Delany Avenue

It was very pleasant end to end, house was neat and clean, kept warm and welcoming for arrival.

2 bed + 2 bath is great for a family. Not too far from town (not close either). Has all expected BASIC amenities.

Decor is dated and feels like it was handed down from nanna (and hasn’t changed since I stayed here in 2013 & 2018). Beds are cheap and uncomfortable. Heater doesn’t work properly (defaults to 26 and turns the house into a sauna). No cooling. No ceiling fans. No soap provided. Cheap linen and towels the size of tea towels. I guess it’s relative to what you’re used to, but I’ve stayed in several cheaper motels locally that I rate higher. Laundry door doesn’t work so sound of washing machine/dryer comes into main area and cannot be avoided. Very dark and dull inside. Lights are circa 1999. Garage door is ready to fall off. Didn’t trust enough to use garage. It’s not an expensive accom, but is overpriced for what it is. We stay in bright 10-20 nights a year. This place was ‘fine’ but that’s all it was. Has HUGE potential, but just gives off a ‘no f***s given’ owners vibe. Highlighted by the cobwebs and dust everywhere. It’s clearly cleaned after each visit (sheets, bathrooms) but hasn’t been actually ‘cleaned’ for years.

Very lovely place to stay . Right next to the tree range , feel Like living in the forest

The location was good. Rooms were decent size.

The main bathroom had shower broken. Shower head seemed to have been fixed with sticky tape. The head didn't stay fixed during shower. That experience left a bad taste on otherwise okay accommodation.
